That's the byline for this article from Yahoo Sports.
It seems that Favre wants to exact revenge on the Packers (yeah, I know, he said he was going to retire...but apparently they were guilty of believing him). I would love to see him in a Vikings uniform...and get absolutely leveled by Clay Matthews!!!

What could be a better closing for Favres act then to face a team in Lambeau that knows exactly what he will do when they want him to. 
I hope the Vikings do sign him so he can keep his record consecutive games streak alive because his "revenge" will be the Packers final reckoning with the guy.

Yahoo is like the TMZ of sportwriters..Unknown source'' they always use. Farve might end up a Viking. But I doubt it will be for revenge.
It just makes a more interesing story.
It was Green Bay that didnt want him in Minn.Too face him twice a year. A place he wanted to be..before the Jets deal.
Just a thought'

It could be the media, but it is not just Yahoo. Here is a video from Fox Sports. I have to believe that Favre's habit of talking retirement and/or actually retiring only to change his mind at the last minute still plays a part in all of this.
He may have been a very good quarterback, but he's also a media whore.

Farve has always been a gunslinger..thrown all the INTS. His most impressive feat ..durabilty. But poor performance playing hurt..also hurt the teams.
Hopefully he will stay fishing, hunting..etc

I really don't get all of the Favre hate. The guy is still one of the top 32 QB's in the world. The Vikings would be a better team with him, than they are without him. If they want him & he wants to play, then why shouldn't he?

Here in cheesehead land Say_Yes you wont find any hate for the finest quarterback weve ever had in Brett Favre.
What you will find are two people that had a battle over egos...a battle won by GM Thompson over late QB Favre.
Thats how it should be when Thompson is the current Director of Football Operations while Favre was darn good but still just a player.
So..if its not hate,what is it? When you put together the old concept that your only as good as the last game you played and this quote by Lombardi...
The leader can never close the gap between himself and the group. If he does, he is no longer what he must be. He must walk a tightrope between the consent he must win and the control he must exert ...Favre isnt hated in Wisconsin but we cheeseheads eventually became aware of what most of the rest of the country knew all along.
His need to be a showboat.
Team isnt spelled FAVRE.
We are Green Bay Packer fans far more than Brett Favre fans.
Lombardi was right about this one as well...
Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit.

It is hard to see why Packer fans or the state of Wisconsin would hate Brett Favre, he gave alot to the team and state..Yes your skills decline when you get older, But he did win a Super Bowl..and took them to another. Before Brett ,the Packers were a bad team for years  I dont get it. He gave his body up for the team..
I doubt Marino is hated by Dolphin fans..with zero Championships. And got drilled in Superbowls.
Or Jim Kelly..great QB..0-4 in Superbowls, Fran Tarkington 0-4 also
