I feel that he still has something to offer the league. Granted dog-fighting is a vicious endeavor, but its not like he killed somebody. Lets give the guy another chance. I think he would be a perfect fit in Cleveland....the dog pound would love him.
Good luck Mike!! RUFFF RUFFFF!!!!

He did his time....and seems to have taken it all like a man.
The dude gets his life back...
And actually, Cleveland might be a great place for him to land!!

Something tells me the Bills...after all that was the only place that really wanted T.O.
I am glad Dallas doesnt want him...so says Jerry Jones.

It will be interesting to see, who if anyone, will sign Vick. Even without the suspension, it was questionable that he would be in much demand. Add in, his not being eligible for the first two pre-season games & the first five regular season games and I can't see a bunch of teams rushing out to sign him. Vick is a great athelete, but his QB skills weren't all that to start with. Add in a couple of years of rust and those skills can't have improved.
As to where he goes, that is a good question. I think that Vick is going to want to go some place, where he has a chance to start, if not this year, then soon. I think his best fit, is Minnesotta. They rent Favre for a year and sit Vick behind him, to learn the offense. The thing is, I don't see their ownership, wanting to take on his baggage.
I could see Vick in DC. Daniel Snyder loves big name, splash players, like him, with little thought to team chemistry. Jason Cambell is in the last year of his contract. Add in the demographics of DC & I can easily see Vick in Redskin uniform this season.
Houston would also be a possibility. Shaub can't stay healthy & Rex Grossman is the back up. (Need I say more?) Kubiak was a QB coach & I can see him wanting to work with a guy, who has the physical tools that Vick has.

I think that Vick is going to want to go some place, where he has a chance to start, if not this year, then soon. If it works out that way, sure. But Vick's options will be limited by who wants him.
About the only sure thing is SOMEONE will sign him. I'll be surprised if it's not a done deal by the end of this week.

Vick hasnt played in a long time now. He has only got older. It is one thing to be in shape, another thing to be in football shape. Where-ever he goes it will take him awile..I think.

1. He is naturally athletic
2. He has been in prison, not the Betty Ford Clinic.
I seriously doubt if he has lost much (if any) muscle tone during his stay in prison. I would also bet that he has had time to do a lot of thinking and reflecting about his life and will come back with a much stronger frame of mind.
I think the new Michael Vick will be better than the old one. Time will tell.

The new Michael Vick is slated for his own reality show. In a show of arrogance, his manager said it's safe to bet it won't be on the Animal Planet network. That's America for you. Commit a heinous crime and get a reward!

Im sorry, but running a pit bull fighting ring is not a "heinous crime" in my eyes.
Its not like he was training cute little dachsunds and jack russell terriers to rip each others throats out. You are letting the pit bulls do what they were bred to do....its just illegal.

With all due respect...it was much more than a "ring". It was a huge "camp"- -- Read up on the condition and treatment of those dogs. Including roping some up juuust a little off the ground on raping posts. I could go on...but suffice to say, it's pretty sickening. Those dogs make some of the best pets when treated well. They're big babies. If it was just a ring...he wouldn't have had to do jailtime. Don't make me go to wiki on you.

Read up
Well if you "read up" too, you will find that Michael Vick didnt run the operation day to day. He owned the house where it was held, and he financed it. He did jail time because it was an opportunity to bring attention to dog fighting by prosecuting a high profile athlete.
Dont go GH on me now.

I'm with Pam.Cruelty to animals is inexcusable. But...the guy did pay the price and deserves a life. He just might show up in Vikings training camp now that Favre wont be since he announced retirment again today.

Killing a dog is 24 times worse than killing a human being.
Just ask Donte Stallworth.
He killed a puppy and got two years while murderers walk the streets. That alone should get him back on the field.

Killing a dog is 24 times worse than killing a human being.
Just ask Donte Stallworth.
He killed a puppy and got two years while murderers walk the streets. That alone should get him back on the field. He should be glad that he did not steal a bicycle. After all,
A Sacramento man is facing prison for stealing Lance Armstrong’s bicycle while the seven-time Tour de France winner was competing in California.
Sacramento County court documents show 40-year-old Lee Crider is to be sentenced Monday to three years in prison for burglary and theft. He pleaded no contest June 1 to stealing Armstrong’s time trial bike and two other bikes from a trailer after the Sacramento prologue to the Tour of California in February. Source
Kill someone while driving drunk and do 24 days in jail.
Get convicted in federal court for tax evasion (not dog fighting) and serve 18 months.
Steal a bicycle and serve three years in prison. Now that is what I call justice.
