So, Who is the Worst Team in the NFL?

I got to thinking today, just who is the worst team in the NFL. Last year that was an easy question, as the Lions were the easy answer. As they won today, beating the Redskins  I have to wonder, who has that distinction this year. Is it the hapless Browns? Maybe it is the inept Chiefs. As the Skins lost to Detroit, perhaps they deserve consideration. Do either Tampa or Carolina deserve consideration. What about Buffaloe & I haven't even mentioned the Raiders.
It seems that a lot of teams just suck this year. So, my question is, who sucks the most. (BTW, my vote is for the Browns.)

Worst teams, or worst uniforms .... ?
Have you seen some of these this year?
Tennessee .... that baby blue is really intimidating.
Jets .... I have no idea what those colors even are, but they're horrid.
Houston .... too subtle ... you need a little more red in them.
Seattle .... no one will notice if you play lousy, as there's no seeing beyond that puke/lime/fluorescent green .... or whatever the Hell it is.

How on earth did I forget to include St. Loius in my original list of the truly bad teams? They may be as bad as the Brownies.
As for the uniforms, well Seattle should have to forfeit if they wear those things again.

NOPE!!!!!!....not this year...Brownieland is a serious mess. And getting worse by the week...
Supposedly 2 players have filed some kind of grievance against Mangini and 3 more are about to. I'm guessing there's a REAL good reason why the Jets sucked last year and they dumped Mangini like they did.
My beloved Brownies need to cut their losses and dump Brady Quinn AND Mangini....NOW!! There will be a bunch of good QB's up for the draft this year (did wonders for the Jets!!)...and maybe Mike Shanahan can be had for the right $$....
The funny thing is, the major problem last year was Braylon Edwards couldn't catch a cold, let alone a pass, and he's about the steadiest thing going for them this year.
Must be something in the water of Lake Erie!! Or maybe the current flows from Detroit to Cleveland..
As for the uniforms, well Seattle should have to forfeit if they wear those things again
Aw, cmon...Dayglo Green used to be a wonderful thing...Why back in the early 70's, I spent all night once talking to a Dayglo Green Chip & Dale!!

Posts: 9,427 My point is that many of those teams are wallowing in their losing ways due to poor leadership. For the Cleveland Browns to look at their quarterback situation and think "Yeah, we are good", is farcical.

Pass yards......ranked 31st
Rushing yards..ranked 26th
Cleveland desperately needs some help.....maybe Graham Harrell isnt the answer, but I doubt if the answer is in the current lineup either.

This time of year, you have to play the cards that you are dealt. You are not going to get a guy like Shanahan to take over mid year, as he is going to want to have an offseason to reshape the team & cut the dead weight. So, the Browns are going to have do like the Panthers, suck it up & take a lot of beatings this season. Then in the offseason, clean house (top to bottom) and start to rebuild their franchises.
Look on the bright side, at least the Browns have a first round draft pick next year. The Panthers traded theirs to SF, for a second round pick that they used to draft a back up defensive end (which they did not need). Hopefully Fox, Hearnes & Peppers will find their way out of town next year & Bill Cowher will take over for the Panthers next year.
BTW, three games into the 2009 season, the Browns are

Pass yards......ranked 31st
Rushing yards..ranked 29th

Should have added:
After dumping Brady Quinn & Mangini, finish out the season with Anderson at QB, promote an assistant to finish out the year, and go after a QB in the draft & Shanahan for next year. This year's already shot. I would have thrown Cower into the mix but I doubt if he'd come back to coach in the same division...

Why cut Quinn? His contract is guaranteed through the end of the year. Let Anderson start, sure, but keep Quinn on the Roster. Who knows, some dumb GM (like Marty Hurney) may trade you a pick for him.

Quarterback Tyler Thigpen was acquired by the Dolphins on Tuesday from the Kansas City Chiefs for an undisclosed draft pick. I don't know what they gave up to get him, but with all the injuries, you might get a ham sandwich for Quinn.
But yeah, putting him out of his (and cleveland's) misery, may not be such a bad idea.

Hopefully, the worst team THIS WEEK will be the Jets! (at New Orleans) The funny Jets uniforms were the throwback jerseys of the original AFL team, the New York Titans. How ironic! They were playing the Tennessee Titans!
