I thinkTrammel may get another shot in time. I think this young team needed a proven leader. It seem's to be showing on the field so far.

Speaking of the young players, Chris Shelton was the big suprise last season. They brought him in to fill a lineup decimated by injuries and foud a power hitter. Personally I think the true test will come on Monday when they play Chicago. However Chicago isn't looking very good so far.

This is a frustrating year for me...my Mets are 10 and 2, with the best record in baseball and my NY Rangers are in the playoffs...and I can hardly ever get to see either of them.

We bought tickets for a game in June between the Giants and the A's. Now,,,it will be fun for me. Neither team is my favorite, so I don't have to worry about loosing!!!!!!
My husband is an A's fan though...

I am glad to be a Detroit Tiger's fan. The KC Royal's are the joke of the league. The ownership here is atrocious to put it mildly. I hear the Gm here will be fired soon and some major player movement may follow. This town is in an uproar. There are some loyal fan's here and they deserve a competitive team.

Yeah I'm a loyal Tiger fan through thick and thin. At .649 they're only a half game behind the White Sox. A lot of their sucess seems to be coming from Jim Leyland and reading the rulebook. There have been some really unusual heads up plays this year.

I am a Tiger fan! Leyland has done wonders with this team and it shows by being in first place in the divison. How long has it been since we said that?
Let's go Tigers!

It's nice to see the lowly Cards and Tigers leading their leagues and divisions. Too bad the sports media is still having wet dreams over the Yankees and Redsox.

Not to be a party pooper, but the Tigers might be in a little trouble, though.
Mike Maroth on 15-day disabled (elbow inflammation, none too good for a pitcher) and Dimitri Young gone for an undisclosed time for his "personal" problems.

No, the Tigers are pretty good. They are not going to play .700 ball the rest of the year, but they should be in the race until the end. And there is no one dominant team really in the American League so it is anybody's year.
