Yea Ice Man is alright - UFC has a weekly series kinda like the Contender,... and SPIKE TV shows matches weekly as well, it's just facinating to me really. The best "sport" out there I think

I've seen the Contender thing with UFC, I liked that a lot. The Iceman was one of the trainers.

It was this past summer, and Ice went on after that to retake the Title.
I liked the Contender a lot, I think the UFC hasn't yet come into it's own but I think it will...

yea it all takes time
there was a time when the only UFC I could ever watch was if I rented it,...lol
So I think the concept of it's availability is still fresh,...
The Contender was great,... gotta love the emotion and skill there really, you can't help to feel for the guys,... it's like an emotional roller coaster, my fav fighter was Alfonso Gomez last season

Alfonso really was great. When he stepped up in the first fight to take on that other guy (I forget his name)and then actually beat him? That was just spectacular.
I remember when the UFC was actually banned, and the only videos you could get were in the Adult section of the video store.
They have come a long way since then...

I have seen a few of the UFC events in the Casinos in Atlantic CIty. They didn't really attract very many people, it seems most of the tickets were comp'd (that's how I got mine). I'm not sure what they could do to get more exposure.

I used to watch Boxing once in a while, but I haven't watched it in a long time. I have only seen a couple of the UFC fights.

I have been hooked since UFC 2. In fact one of my younger brothers tried his hand at it and actually competed in an event called IFC in the late 90's. He won 2 fights that night.
Unfortunately the event had troubel getting sactioning during that time in many states and he was forced to get a "real job"...bah, life gets in the way.
So he is resolving this year to get back into training and perhaps make one more go of it before giving up his dream.
But some of my fav fighters..Randy Couture, RAMPAGE Jackson, Wanderlei Silva and old school..Frank(not Ken) Shamrock.

I really, really want him to whip matts ass though.....matt is like that tough bully kid who talks way too much s***, yet no one can shut him up......Gracie is on the other end of the spectrum......quiet, graceful in defeat or victory, and a true legend of the sport......I sure hope he wins.

Ohhhhhhhh don't even get me started on Matt,... he's such a punk ass little bitch!
Even tho he's cute (and a twin), after watching the series shows I found him to be such an ASSHOLE,... I mean I just couldn't stand him and just relished the thought of someone coming in and cleaning his clock one good time so I could watch,...lol
I call him fatneck,... well cause,... he is... way over done in my opinion, but he's still an excellent wrestler, and has that upper body strength to pick the boys up a time or two, so I still give him credit for being an excellent fighter, and not to mention entertaining
I haven't seen Gracie fight in years, but I always admired his tactic and skills,...he is deffinately noble & full of grace, and he's deffinately one grapplin' SOB.
"All hail the grapplin' king"
