You aren't stupid. A sports board can be very popular. At another site I frequent we put up a board for men to discuss man stuff and that's mostly what they talk about there. And a few women join in.

You're definitely right!! I for one love sports, play sports, and find it's a great topic for conversation starters.

Well...you COULD, Honey...but then I'd have to shoot ya! hehehe Talking about all those teams and scores would be much nicer in a sports board. :)

Red Sox s*ck (ok, i'm a Yankees fan so I'm obligated to say that...no offense intended...heh heh heh).

Even though I'm a Yankees fan, if the Yankees never win another series again - i can't complain. I've already had my "dream year" of the Yanks vs. Mets in the series ... and of course the Yanks winning.

I was actually happy for the Red Sox a couple of years ago - to see them win - they were overdue. This is probably the first time in history that for two years in a row, the Sox won the series but each year, it was actually a different pair of socks....lmao...

I'm also a Jets and Titans fan *sigh* maybe next year has become my new mantra!!!

Always a good topic to a forum! Especially if you are an athlete and earn money as one! Sports can show character and fitness in people.

Any pro's here?

well, seeing as how i did live in new york most my life - i wouldn't want to be in your position - regardless of your sports team (basically i'm saying i wouldn't want to live back in ny - period - for any reason, ha!)

Well, this woman talks sports! I saw a profile header once..Do you know what a 2 point conversion is? Then inside the body, he says...if you do, I want to marry you, lol...cute.

I am in two fantasy football leagues, and this is my 24th season doing so. In one fantasy baseball league as well. I wonder why I end up dating men that hate sports or don't follow them?? Just seems so wrong, lol.

GO Niners! GO SFGiants! Go Sac Kings! Well, I did say I love sports, didn't say I had good judgement, lol.

oh dear me, boo hoo let me cry you a river hun - HA (ok, there i go violating someone's pet peeve of using a term of endearment when i don't know someone...oops). Your profile says you live in Binghamton? Oh my gosh - that area is BEAUTIFUL!! I haven't lived, but have driven through. Me, i lived in Brooklyn most of my life - now THAT is pain...lmao...

Ok, tell you what, we've never written before so that would seem like the PERFECT time to invite you to jump on a plane and come visit nashville :). here is my number 615-462-3675 (..think..) and the keys will be under the mat waiting for you (the gummy bears and banana snapple can be found on the counter to the right as you enter) - and ... there i go - having violated yet another pet peeve listed on this board...

for the record, i would imagine being a Red Sox fan and living anywhere, would be pretty rough... :P

Did you know that Binghamton has the highest suicide percentage in ny as well? The weather is atrocious and the city is abominable. I guess you have to live here to get that though lol. The surrounding countryside is beautiful for about 3 weeks in spring and a 3 weeks in fall...cause that's the only time it isn't snowing or raining...haha.

you think that's bad, well where i live now in nashville....it's beautiful and sunny most of the time, there are rolling green hills, there are always things to do here, ~WAIT~ none of what i wrote above is actually bad, is it? oops - i digress - you win!

for the record, i checked here:

http://www.greaterbinghamtonchamber.com/

i see things about golf....nightlife ... dining out... but nowhere does it even hint at the high suicide rate - what kind of crappy Chamber of Commerce page is that!?!?

ok, and ...now... i'm "off topic" of the "sports forum" topic. i think i'm going to start a forum/rant about people who post "off topic" messages and then implicate myself. One ..would think..i'd have better things to do with my time, right? but really, i don't....LMAO..

just to balance things out a little bit - Yay Jets (they lost again) - Yay Titans (they lost again)

peace
