A friend sent me these the other day...
1. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.
3. No one expects you to run--anywhere.
4. People call at 9 PM and ask, " Did I wake you?"
5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.
6. There is nothing left to learn the hard way.
7. Things you buy now won't wear out.
8. You can eat dinner at 5 PM.
9. You can live without sex but not your glasses.
10. You enjoy hearing about other people's operations.
11. You get into heated arguments about pension plans.
12. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.
13. You quit trying to hold your stomach in no matter who walks! into the room.
14. You sing along with elevator music.
15. Your eyes won't get much worse.
16. Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.
17. Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the national weather service.
18. Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.
19. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to manageable size.
20. You can't remember who sent you this list.
And you notice these are all in Big Print for your convenience.

i'm proud to say that i know all the tunes on muzak (and i like them, too). once my sup said i'd b great on "name that tune".
i'm so glad i could experience it firsthand, but i wish i could've been born a LITTLE earlier, like, 1911?

angel, matchmakers from 1911 would b called parents/family.
i shouldve been the vocalist, macadu. kathy lee could never sing. i usually try 2 b supportive of the sisterhood, but she was AWFUL. looked like someone used a mixing bowl 2 cut her hair.

You might want to add "free senior coffee" even when you argue that sixty-five is a beginning senior citizen and they give you one anyway.

Sheesh, how LONG after 50 is he talking??? That sounds maybe like my mother (and she doesn't go to bed at 9 either...lol!). Frankly, I cannot identify with most of what's in there and don't plan to for a good while. When we begin to accept "old age" cliches we're done for!
Anyway, what's a year but the earth going around the sun once? What does that have to do with how individual people age??? Since I've always been into nutrition, a healthy lifestyle and I'm also lucky to come from a family of "long-livers" what I DO identify with is what I heard during an Oprah show, that for many women today's 50s are the 30s of sometime past.
