[ this is only my Preliminary Projected Forecast, not Actual ]

#1 -- I will run around to ALL the car dealerships and asked to take ALL their New Car Registration Forms to DMV for a Fee ($20 a pop for each new car purchase) because that's what they told me when I bought my New Car back in 1984 -- they have to pay a person to "STAND in line at DMV"

#2 -- I will SIT at the Fish & Tackle Coffee Shop ALL day and just STARED at ALL the Men, imagine the calculated Ratio of 1 of ME to every 50 Males.....

#3 -- I will CHECKOUT all the Men's john, just to see why they're ALWAYS standing up??

#4 -- I will WALK UP to every Male and grab their Buns just to say "hello" -- because nobody "pinched me" when I was strolling on the Via Del Corso in Rome...

#5 -- I will HITCH HIKE in a Teenager's Hip Hugger and show ALL my Assets (no names, ok, Pali) while I will place two (2) boxes of Kleenex under my top to "firm up" my two (2) Supporting Escorts.....

Did I leave out ANYTHING??

It's not you Sunny...it's anyone who breathes through their nose.

I think it's in the DMV job discription.

Well! I tried all of that and after a while, got bored as hell. Then my former employer asked me to come back part time. I work 2 days a week and still have plenty of time to do what I want and go where I want, when I want

Retire?

You mean work less than 60 hours a week? But, but....why??? I LIKE structure, I ENJOY challenge, and I LOVE my coworkers...we've become so much extended family that a couple of dozen of us relocated 2500 miles together. I suspect they'll have to fire me to get rid of me...

Artie.....you crack me up!!!

It's strange, but I was just talking about retirement today with Robodad. I've been on vacation since the 7th and I already miss work. And here I thought I would love retirement! NOT!

I'm looking ahead about 4 1/2 years ... OK, 4 years & 8 months ...
That's when the last of the kids will graduate from high school (Lesson learned: Do not reproduce after 40) and I can quit my 2nd job...

Second job being: After working an 8-10 day... running home to cook, feed, monitor homework, referee, comfort, taxi, band-aid, ice pack & ACE wrap, etc, etc, etc....

Probably downsize & lower the mortgage & monthly bills ... Hey, maybe just a part-time job ...

ahhhhh...Sounds lovely....

I'll probably spend the first month sleeping, just to catch up. After that, I may travel, or maybe even do something I thought about when I was young, join the peace corps for a tour. I certainly don't plan on going back to any kind of a job though, I've had to put up with enough idiot bosses for two life times already.

My boss wants me to work part time, so it may end up being a semi-retirement, mostly to keep my medical insurance going. We'll see...

Also, the new Harleys keep calling my name. If I have payments, I may need to work.

So they won't give you a gold Harley as a retirement gift?

I hope "part time" means you'll still be able to schedule YOUR playtime.

The boss put up a picture of a Harley Softtail on the bulleting board. He knows how to tempt me... LOL

His latest scheme is for me to be 'on call' monday through thursday nights. I'll get paid for being available, plus any night calls I have to go out on.

Retire???? You mean, as in turn in the pager and actually get to sleep through the night???? Good lord, that's nirvana!

But they'll probably want me to do the 'on call 24x7x365' that I'm currently doing, until the boxes I support are decommissioned. Only they won't want to pay as well.

Not counting days yet... but it's in sight! Ah, no more long commutes!!!

The horses won't know what to do with me 7 days a week... but they'll learn!
