They do...unless the lady (member) blocks you. They might also be ignoring you or have their mail settings "restricted" where people who don't fall into a certain 'criteria' (such as age range) have their emails go directly into the "filtered mail" folder.

Well, if you ask me, most men are attracted to the younger women because they are younger, and more attractive. You just can't stop physical attraction when it comes to looking at women, because men are mostly visual when they go after a mate. That is just our instinct.
However, just because you are strongly physically attracted to a woman, it doesn't mean that you will get along, or even like each other for that matter.
A man that has his head on straight will tell you that he is looking for someone that has "the whole package" as they say. They should be physically attractive, but also have things in common, be familiar with their shared cultures, have attributes that are complimentary, and many other things that would make them the "right person". Can you find that perfect person? No. But you can get very close to perfect. That's why we have something called "patience" and "tolerance" in our vocabulary.
As for me, I don't care what kind of age difference there is, what matters is how I feel about the person. I have not dated that much in my life, but I have found that age means nothing to me, as I have been attracted to much older AND much younger women. But most of them, well I could just tell we were not meant for each other. Regardless of age, you still have to that "connection", or it just won't last very long.

I am feeling a connection for a younger man right now.. he is ten years younger and the physical and emotional attraction can't be denied. When we get together I cant tell theres an age difference. I wonder if their is a genetic disposition for dating younger men in my family. My Aunt was dating a twenty eight year old when she was in her fifties. I have two cousins with significantly younger husbands.

I'll bet it'sd your "young outlook" (perhaps a family trait)...I find it hard to believe that you turned 50 this year.

I prefer to date the 40something men myself! They are usually still good looking, many have taken as good care of themselves as I have all these years and do not smoke, rarely drink, stay fit, have been married and divorced long enough to know that the bar scene leads nowhere. Many are execs or at least college educated (important to me, as I have a degree, too). I may be 54 this month, but I get more mails from the 20-35 yr olds than anyone~~now I have NO INTEREST in them....I'm trying to get a 15 yr old raised and off to college. I'm currently in the "Be Careful What You Wish For Club"..... ....too many mails to keep up with. That is not what I was looking for, but I posted and I got answers....good, bad and kooky, too!
All I want is ONE good man.....and hope he'll be in FLorida near the beach!

I have one guy in FL who sends me mean emails that he is rich as Midas, that I could be traveling all over the world with him....but he's not got that needed SPARK I need....so I still date the 40somethings. Am I losing my mind???

Sweetie, too bad you didn't ask s few years ago, when I left Newtown to retire in Florida. You would have learned what a real MATURE lady looks like.....I'm even mature enough to be your Grandma.
However, I would say that, at your age, you'll come across MANY mature women.

In the last couple of years most of the men I have been out with have been younger. By younger, I mean no more than ten years younger. I did date one man last year for about three months who was 61. He was such a player! When I broke it off, he was so offended, He just didn't understand that I had no desire to be in his or anyones harem! I do realize that he was just one of many and a bad example. However, I have found the men that contact me that are older, are looking for a friend with "benefits". I will not be that for anyone! If that is what people want, that is certainly their decision. I don't judge anyone. But for me, it's going to be an exclusive relationship, whether the man be ten years younger or a few years older. I know what I want and I won't settle for less, but that's just me.

Just for the record - a friend with benefits relationship can be exclusive too...I can swear to that because I'm in one. We each have our own homes and rarely go out or do anything together except enjoy the 'benefits' part, but we're both monogamous. We like each other, enjoy each other, but way down deep, neither of us is really 'in love'...more like 'in like'. And he's a little over ten years younger than I am, but frankly he's the stay at home (astrological sign Cancer) while I'm the one who's always out doing stuff (Sagtittarius). It's been working out great because we know who we are and can appreciate finding someone who can accept who we are...if that makes any sense. We've both had time with our 'soulmates', and we can be grateful for that without necessarily feeling the need to go searching for another 'one'.
There's a lot to be said for friendship with benefits! .

I find nothing remotely attractive about younger guys - a 20 or 30 or even 40 - year old writing to me gets a laugh privately from me but a thanks but you are too far away, I am dating someone right now - whatever. The ones I HATE are the ones that when I say they are too young they send me 20 emails trying to convince me that they are SOOOOO mature for their age. The fact that they cant understand NO THANK YOU shows the immaturity. But then again I have always dated men at least 5 - 15 years older than myself.

I will date younger men, but not any more than 10 years younger. I have found that most men my age are "old". I would love to meet someone who is looking for an exclusive relationship and is my age. I haven't found him yet. I am youthful in appearance and attitude, but I also have the maturity and wisdom of someone who has been around for six decades. If I could meet someone like myself, I would be surprised and happy.

I've found and this is just my opinion, that most guys in their mid to late 40s look pretty good. But for some reason, once they hit 50 they start to look "old"! I was dating a guy 8 years younger than I am but you would have thought it was the opposite. He was so tired all the time he never wanted to go out and do things. I'm always ready to go out and do things. Just no fun to do all that alone though.

LOL, because of a few personal physical issues, I tend to expect anyone I'm hanging out with to have more energy than me -- I honestly need someone like that around, not just for help but for inspiration and incentive. I hate to say it, but I've only found that in "younger men" -- so far. There's no way I can co-exist with someone who's in worse shape than me. Yep, bottom line, and an honest one.
