Are you living alone - loving it or hating it?

I like living alone for so many reasons, but also because I'm just not good at relationships anymore. I've lived by myself for so long I don't spend the time necessary to maintain intimacy. I've gotten selfish. My time, my space...I know I've created an insular sphere around myself, but I'm pretty content with it.

I'm working at that, too, Solitaire.....after spending many years being 'flexible' and 'open' with my space, I've finally gotten the last (almost) of my sons' (and other relatives') things out of here. It's time to nest and allow my home to reflect who I am.

I love being able to do what I want when I want. Today I never even got dressed, just stayed in bed, read and slept. Probably could not do that with another person here. Although sometimes I do wish I had someone to talk to, esp. late at night when I can't sleep. I guess no situation is totally perfect, is it?

sally f, I love the color of your hair. I stopped dying mine and am getting used to the color. Hey when i started the dying hair cycle i had brown hair but somewhere along the way it turned white/grey. MMMM i am getting used to it. Og, i lived alone for several years then my son moved in with me, He hates to do dishes.
