This profile was actually made on behalf of my mom. It's her in the picture. I think it states that pretty clearly in the profile, but guys just don't seem to understand that! She doesn't have a computer.
Anyway, she's been widowed for 11 years, and she was involved for a long time with someone who's become pretty flaky, and she's lonely and wants to meet someone, but doesn't know how to do it. The only places she really goes are to work and to the park with the dogs. She doesn't drink, doesn't have any friends her age. I'm her daughter, age 31, and I feel like I'm her only friend. I worry about her.
How can she meet someone her age? She's 59. She went out with one guy from this site but I guess they didn't hit it off. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Let me give you a couple of suggestions.
First, get a new pic of your mom, without the dog in the foreground, she looks like a good looking woman, but you can't really tell.
Second, get her a PC, she will have much better success here if she can interact with people, post in the forums, and chat. If she becomes active here, she'll make friends and be much more noticeable buy the guys.In internet dating, the key is to stand out from the crowd and attract attention.

Oops, I didn't read the second half of Touch's post - that was gonna be my suggestion. Interacting through a third person is really difficult - she really needs to be able to chat or post directly so guys can get a feel for what she's really like, and vice versa...good luck!

The dog is darling but we can't see your mom that well. So a different pic would help. Then help her get online once in a while to check things out. If she can get her own pc right away set up a night where you can let her work on yours and you can give her advice on what to do on MD. Good luck!
