Do you ever see someone close to your age and think he/she is old?

I have since about 48 and even more now,see people my age or even a few years older and think they are old.I forget my chronological age so often and describe someone as an ex. as an older woman.Turns out she is my age or within a few years either way. Yet I don't see me that way. Or I have thought of going back to visit a neighbor I last saw when I was 30.The person at that time was about 63. I have to rimind myself yrs. have passed.Like 24 yrs. now, doubt that person is still growing a garden,living alone,if living. Now I know there are some spunky 90 yr. olds around,but not in the majority.Time passes so quickly by,hard to beleive for me. I don't like it in general.Want things to stay the way they are for awhile at least. Uh-Oh is this a sign of getting old?

Same here. I'll look at a guy's profile pic who is about my age and think Oh my gosh, he's too old for me! LOL

Way to often, I come across this, Not as much in there appearance, but there actions.
This is the very question, That brought me to looking at dating sites. To see what others in my age group had to say about there past life.
So often you see.. " I look and act ten years younger " .... >>>> get real. no you don't ...

Well since I work with 7-8 year olds, I probably act very immaturely at times! LOL But to be honest, I don't think I really look my age, yet!

I'm not 50 YET but I am approaching it rapidly. I've looked at some people and wonder what they have done in their life that made them age so quickly. Looking at the pics of some people's profiles I think they are my dad's age and come to find out they are MY age. It helps to smile in your profile pictures...trust me on that one! You look YEARS younger when you SMILE!
Some people are deluded to think they look younger when in fact, their hairstyle, clothing, eyeglasses, make up, etc dicate otherwise.
Many people have told me I look young for my age. Fortunately, my family ages very well. Do I think I look younger than my age? Not anymore. I can see all the tell tale signs of getting older...

Great attitude! Of course you're a kid to me, and 47 wasn't exactly the best time of my life -- not the worst either, but the best has been since I turned 60. I was at a birthday party for one of my 'crowd' when he turned 40...he started talking about how much better life was at 40 than 30, and my response was that 60 was tons better than 30 OR 40...he just looked at me and asked 'but who's 60?'. I was 62 at the time so of course he got a hug for that one.
The best time of your life is the one you're living now - it's all any of us have any control over, so live it to the MAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think if you allow yourself to BECOME old your looks will follow suit... I have met that firecracker Heaven and OMG she definitely does NOT look or act her age.. (I still dont believe it Heaven )Then I see folks MY age and sometimes I think HOLY CRAP !!! and I thought I led a rough life and I thank the stars and my momma for her good genes!!! and Yes Thata a smile goes a LONG way to youthening oneself.. a constant frown or scowl leads to nothing more than wrinkles

Sometimes its the opposite.
I was a bit shocked a few months ago when our minister told me he was going to be retiring in a few years.
 I thought he was a younger buck then this 53 year old.
Last year at my 35th class reunion I had to ask my best friend who was the gal we were just talking to.
He said..."You mean you dont remember the gal you took to the prom?"
What? Her mom came to our class reunion?
