It’s a sad but true fact that so many women over fifty (and even 45) feel invisible.
Ladies: getting messages from guys in their 20's asking for sex or your boobs size doesn't count

One reason might be that many men in their +50’s red something about “Men live longer if they date a younger woman and drive a sport car” and are convinced it can be true?
Maybe those are the same men looking for girls 10 o 20 years their younger (putting away the rest) and then complain they’ve been mainly approached by scammers and gold diggers?

If so, I’d recommend them to read “50 Reasons why young women should date older men”

If it works for you... fine

I was jus trying to link an effect (women feeling invisible) with a possible cause (same age men on midlife crisis)

“Men live longer if they date a younger woman and drive a sport car” and are convinced it can be true?

Actually men who live longest are married. It's the single women who are driving sports cars who live longer than married women.

Feeling invisible's more about your own self-perception than anything external to you.. If you feel invisible, you're gonna be invisible. I felt a lot more invisible at 24 after a miserable marriage to an abusive control freak than I have in my 60's. Much as I cringe at the self-help gurus talking about 'loving yourself before you can accept being loved by someone else', it's got a lot of truth in it.

BTW, I'm 65 and yes, I drive a silver convertible. My SO is a bit more than 10 years younger than I am too. It's always about finding the right one for you, but my type of guy is one who wants a woman he knows will tell him to get lost if he acts like a jerk - i.e. a woman who understands that she's a valuable person in her own right, and doesn't need to have him work his butt off trying to convince her of it.

I can see how you may feel that way. The men our age are chasing the younger girls and the 20 year old men thinking we're easy and the 80 year old men who need a care taker are chasing us. It's crazy! The perfect age group for us I think is late 30's and 40's really. No need for the blue pill in this age bracket! They're not old enough for the midlife crisis issues yet and mature enough to hopefully appreciate an independent woman. The still have hair & teeth too.

Ain't that the truth! Although it's kinda nice to be considered a "younger" girl when the 80 year olds are chasing....
