happygrlok..........dont worry about giving him mouth to mouth....he will be too old for it to make any difference.....just jump on his stomache.....and when he takes a deep breathe......stick the end of a strong vaccum cleaner in his mouth.......and rotate from blowing in and blowing out...........that ought to do the trick.......LOL
GRAY......my grandmothr lived into her 90's ...my grandfather lived to nearly 100.....my father always said he would live to round about the same age. He died one week later after telling me that. He was 70 when he died. HEART ATTACK!
....so one never knows.....no one can predict. Doesnt necessarily mean anything.....yet my grandparents were always sick......my father never ailed in his life. So there you go.
My little ticker isnt that good either. So if i dont come on here next year....you will know where I am......floating on a cloud.....watching you' all from above....and killing myself that I cant post in the threads.........LOL LOL LOL
happygrlok...........KICK YOUR HEALS UP GIRL.....and get moving now......DO all the things you have always wanted to.......if you are able and money and health permit.

Alana, thank you for doing a survey and taking time to share your results. This has been happening to myself and also a friend of mine who is also 60. The same men look over and over at our profiles, some will chat on the internet Some will actually call to talk, , very few will actually take the next step. I agree with your findings. Sorry, guys!

Nope, we're the ones who are sorry - hope it turns around for you. I'm 64, and goin' fishin' with my huggy next weekend. We met on the internet about 16 months ago, one phone call and one week later was our first date. We've had a grand total of three disagreements since then. We're not the loves of each other's lives but at he very least we've become good friends, supporting each other and doing everything we can to make each others' lives as good as we can make them. I'll be making his favorite peanut butter cookies and I know he'll have some kind of surprise for me.
Life's been great.

You know, I've been thinking about this, and wondering how much location might have to do with it. Phoenix is not only a hot city (which ups my libido, don't know about others) but it's also a city that everybody has moved to from somewhere else. It's extremely social - maybe that's why everybody's so much more open to dating...the two years prior to meeting my SO were what I've called my 50 million first dates. Most weekends included a date or two. A few were under 50, but most were older. Few were more than first dates, and those were more friendly outings after the initial meeting made it clear there was no chemistry there. I've even been known to introduce the ones I really liked to friends.
My SO's from Michigan, I'm from New York, my former SO's from Massachusetts (currently retired in Mexico). I honestly can't think of a single guy I dated who was from Arizona. I know it makes it much easier making friends, probably makes dating a lot more atractive too, if you don't have that familial support system, loneliness can be a lot harder to tough out.

I'm a few years shy of 60 but my mom always vowed the 60s were better than 50s. Lucky me though, I inherited arthritis from the grandmother. It seemed to skip my mom and my younger sister. So I have mine and THEIRS too, I'm sure! And I just get so frustrated when I can't do the things I could do 10, 20, 30 years ago. I get mad at myself. I make myself do them and then that makes me hurt worse than it would have if I hadn't pushed. (((SIGH))) I hope by the time I finally retire from teaching I have enough oomph left to do some traveling and maybe I can find someone who would like to travel with me......

Worst case, you can find a friend (or in my case a son ). Firstborn and I are here in Maui this week, the week before that was camping with my SO in upstate AZ. Both beautiful in their own ways...yesterday was submarining between Maui and Lanai, then helicoptering over the highest sea cliffs in the world over Molokai, to see the source of those beautiful waterfalls. They're not springs, just the accumulation of rainwater (it rains about 450 inches a year there, 350 over Maui, second highest rainfall in the world, but only on one side, the other's pretty much desert).
I've said it before I think - my life's been better since I turned 60 than it was at any point I can remember (and btw, I used to have more arthritic pain than I do now, ya never know).

I'm home again, son's still en route. Somehow I don't think he's given more than a passing thought to that near miss - he's much too busy planning his NEXT vacation there - which will be renting a bike instead of a car, and a backpack instead of a suitcase....I'm waiting for him to think about a pup tent by one of those little roadside parks -

Maaybe we need to set up an MD community near Phoenix. I bet the weather there would be good for those of us with arthritis or joint type problems. Any one think that might be an idea to pursue?

Sign, maybe not MD, but it's one of the retirement capitals of the world I think! We have more over 55 retirement communities than 'normal' ones...and yes, the dry heat's ideal for arthritis,..c'mon down!
