NO idea dwain i work way too much and dont get out unless i treat myself to a night out but i am off next weekend yeaaaaa me.. and i will find something to do...  Sweet N Louisiana

Hard to say since I don`t have any plans to meet any now or in the future..besides I live in the boonies..and unless theres a man out hidin` in the woods..the possiblity of meeting one is very very low..

That's been a problem for me. All the bars around here are either dead, or full of 20 somethings. Tried the church thing, no luck there either, the only single ones were about 20 years older than me.

would you believe the shell station in town, it has a large parking lot next to the expresso stand. it's where i go to find someone to ride with, most motorcyclists stop there before going over the pass. the best thing is that there is no drinking involved, just like minded people, men and women on bikes.

Well, let's see, I live in the boonies too, and I've gone to Walmart, Lowe's, have made extra stops at gas stations. Hmm...the bar scene would only get you a big redneck drunk. Not much else left to try here. LOL...and if you go to church, they're too young, too old, or just plain too married. I've tried the walking track by the college, but not much there either...
Yep, that's why I'm here too...no where else to go...

I hang around Matchdoctor and look for gatherings to attend or guys to meet locally or wherever I might like to travel...I could hang out with the guys at the shop -- pero no comprendo.

ROFLMAO When you guys (and I include women in that term) figure out where to go to meet those of the opposite sex PLEASE let me know. Believe it or not, here in Sin CIty, it is almost impossible to meet anyone especially if you are older. The whole town seems to be geared toward the young yuppie GQ/Model looking types with fancy cars and money or the way senior citizen... I mean yeah some of those 80 and 90 year old women might be hot but just hard to think romantic about them when you have flashbacks of your grandmother... LOL.
And even worse, I tend to like things that most people my age grew out of years ago if they ever were in them... I mean trying to attract a nice "normal" Vanilla lifestyle woman is almost impossible when you want to take them to a Goth Club... And I laugh to think how they would handle hanging out in Biker Bars... Probably scare them to death.  Most women who like the things I do, are 20+ years younger. Hard to find an older woman who is even interested in trying something like that... 
I found a site you all might want to check out... It's called MeetUp.com It has lists of meetings of all sorts and you can find ones in your areas to go to... It is NOT a dating site...it is a INTERESTS site... I joined the local Goth, Pagan, Witch, and Vampire groups... they have monthly get togethers and picnics and activities and it is pretty cool... Another one is the Tribe.net
There are "Tribes" from all over the world you can join... It is another site that you find the nearest big city and join...

Yup! It is next to impossible.  A friend told me to go up to someone and tell them I was interested in getting to know them better. What a disaster. I was far better off hoping someone would notice me and hoping I would know how to respond. 
I do not want to find someone in a bar because I do not want to be cuught up in that life style. Heaven forbid attempting to attract someone's attention at church in a small town. The gosip can be humilating and worse than the lonliness of being alone.  My Grand father's advice was to go about your life style and someone with like and desirable life style will emmerge or it is not ment to be.

LOL Yeah I can relate Sherry... Trying to meet anyone local is a pain. I have had more luck here and on POF than I ever did trying to find someone on my own. Of course, I end up with more female friends from this site and the POF site... Sigh... Wish I could just find some woman who would say "To heck with friends, I just want to jump your bones and then we will see what happens with the relationship..." ROFLMAO...
