For most of the time, she was about a size 18-20 at 5' 1" (about 185-200 lbs). You tell me I'm attractive all the time and I'm a 14/16 and 151. Most of this is due to the size of my hips, butt, and legs. A lot of us can't help if we have large frames (yes, there are such a thing as wide frames) but I can understand that you don't want to be with someone who is huge

LGQ, I didn't say I found her Unattractive. Hell, I was married to her for 28 years and I didn't divorce her because of her size. But as I said, there is an element of "been there, done that, so I know what I like or don't like about it." The question was whether or not it put me off. My take on that, was that, yes, I'd be less likely to initiate a contact with a BBW. It doesn't mean if I met someone and got to know them that alone would be the reason I wouldn't engage in a relationship. I think Queen Latifah is a very attractive lady, but that's because I find her face gorgeous and very photogenic (as I do yours, and no, you two don't look anything alike), and it doesn't mean I want to bed her. I have recently seen a lady twice, who is 4' 11" and about 150 pounds. I don't know if someone 4' 11" can be called a BIG beautiful woman. But, again, she contacted me first. I replied, and things have moved on from there so far. I probably never would have contacted her first. And I was just trying to be honest.
Edited to add: Besides. I already know you're too young for me!

Of course short women can be "big". At 200 lbs, I had a 38" waist. That is the definition of "big" to me.

lol.. that's just an observation on what "big" conjures up to me. I tend to think of a "big person" as someone taller than I am as well as heftier. Many dwarves, no matter how heavy, prefer calling themselves a "little person." I've known several dwarves (meaning nothing except that they suffered from any one of a number of medical conditions contained in the broad category of dwarfism) in my life. I knew a woman who actually was an extra in the Wizard of Oz. She was the widow of a man who had owned what he proudly named "Shorty's Tailor Shop."

No, no, no. I wasn't implying that you were a dwarf. Or even (more politically correct) a little person. Just commenting on what the phrase "BBW" conjures up in my mind by association.
I'll have to check your profile again and see how tall you are LGQ. I'm thinking you're 4' 11" too, but I'm not sure I remember absolutely correctly.

I'm 4'10" or 4'11" depending on who measures me. Part of me was hoping that I met the parameters for "legal midget" in order to obtain scholarships and a handicapped parking spot....but I don't meet that =( =(

I have had people tell me that because I find shorter ladies somehow more attractive in some ways that I surely must have tendencies to be a child molester! Yet, if a 6-footer has in his profile that he will only date women 5' 4" or under, no one would say that about him, and the difference is correlatable! You would be 8-9 inches, or just about a head, shorter than I am.
I know there's no "logical" basis for it, but someone that size just seems to "fit" better. Know what I mean? There's just this "Hollywood-inspired" self vision (on my part anyway) of that "looking down" into the eyes of someone, while she in turn looks up into mine. Chalk it up to a better acceptance of someone fitting into my already-formed romantic visions.

Well, I am between 40-60, on the Life After 50 threads, and this forum doesn't get a whole lot of traffic anyway. I don't think too many people would complain about someone actually posting on it. Thanks for the conversation, LGQ.

Nightowl you know if you were taller or I was shorter, we'd make a good match. But since I'm taller and bigger than you, that's out. I accept that, I tend to like bigger men anyway. But I have dated guys smaller than I am and had fun with them also. Everyone just has a natural preference. It doesn't mean that they always stick to it but it's there. It's part of what makes us all individuals. So saying that, Night, you will just be my good online friend.

aww, thanks, Sign. You know the feeling is mutual. (There is that one little thing we would have to talk about, though.... you know I'm a stark raving liberal!)

I've never dated a woman taller than me, probably because so few are. Even most of the WNBA is shorter than me.

my big breasted brother has reminded me time and again, to each his own. birds of a feather flock together. now i ain't saying he don't git real excited when a munchkin answers his emails! LOL it is just that he has accepted the fact he should accept a fluffy gal in his circle. after all, he has a pretty big circle! LOL
