Seriously, I've been back in B'ham for a year and a half and have yet to date anyone.
Where the heck do all the single girls hang out?  It's not at church because the two or three single women won't give me the time of day. And the girls at my support group meeting weird me out.

I don't mind the heat. It's the cold I hate!
Dating? What's that? LOL....
Like you, I find it difficult to find anyone to go out with.
Not sure where to meet people. Hate to use church as a dating service so I refuse to do that. Been to one bar twice....yeah, no luck there. Go figure!
Wish I had some advice to give you....

I've been a regulaar at church since my mother died in January...there was a vacant pew to fill.
Most of the reason I go to church is to meet people. They generally have the same values I have, plus at church events there's no alcohol or smoking.
I found out that most of the women in my age group are former church youth group members who now volunteer with the youth group.
I won't go to bars any more. I met my first wife at a bar, and she was the worse person I could've married. Plus I don't drink any more, so what's the point.
I'm going back to UAB to pick up a BS in nursing and extend my hunt for Mrs. Right Forever. There's a high percentage of female students in nursing. 
Unlike engineering where on 10-15% of the students were women.

Church people usually suck, I don't trust them, do you?
To me, there is nothing scarrier than a christian insurance salesman.

you will find negativce people anywhere - there is darkness in the world - but the more you seek out the light - the more you will find it. If you are only running into bad people - you may need to examine yourself.

UAB_5 You just went to the wrong school for the enginerring classes at Auburn there are more female than males in some of my classes!, not to mention I am a female IE just a few more classes to go! And you are right WAR EAGLE !

I'm sorry I had to interrupt this conversation. I had to let you all know this is the first time I was able to understand what people from Alabama are saying. My best friend moved to go to UAB and, man oh man, no one knows what enunciation means. Plus, the football thing is a little creepy. Isn't there anything else for people to do? Go UCLA

hey I go to church...... all the girls that I was interested were taken and still are happily taken so I'm cool. God has that special woman out there for me somewhere!
