Ladies, gentlemen, Tigers, Tide fans, and the rest of you...
Let's plan an Alabama state MD shin dig.
I figure we could all meet outside Bryant-Denny Stadium on Nov 18, 2006 since most of the state will be there anyway, and I for one can't afford tickets to get inside.
I figure we could all wear a nice team neutral green so we can readily identify each other.
Then maybe we could all gulp down some grilled brats and lemonade while cheering for the team with the most points to win.
Maybe even get our Mobile breatheren to supply a few bushels of oysters?
I'm dreaming, but are there any takers?

Too far for me. I'm up north near huntsville area.. but anybody near here.. come on out. Neutral grounds are readily available if anybody wants to hang out !!???

Funny...in college I thought UAH was the opposition.
Their branch of American Society of Civil Engineers was loaded with mechanical engineering students and funded by NASA. In the two years I competed in ASCE's Annual Concrete Canoe Race, UAH produced 18 ft, 80 pond canoes that looked like F-16's, moved like F-16's, and cost as much as a F-16. 
Huntsville is good duty. Pity the Space and Rocket Center hasn't been renovated in 20 years.

Hello Native Single Alabamians
I have been planning on forming and organizing a Singles Group in Birmingham. I like your idea.
May I suggest to make it a more central area of Alabama. There is Huntsville way up North and Mobile way down South. Birmingham, AL or Montomgery, AL seem to me to be more centrally located.
As for attire, let everyone wear whatever he or she wishes, jeans, dress-up, pants suit, designer outfit, whatever.
Seems we need to plan to meet at a certain place. Thanks for listening. Mary
