Hey everyone
In the "where are you from" thread, some of you said that planning a small local gathering would be fun. I think that is a great idea.
Let's see what kind of ideas can we come up with? Let's see how creative we can get.
What do you think of this idea . . . how about meeting and going to a drive in theater. We could do the whole tailgate thing, bring the lawn chairs and mosquito repellent, munchies and beverages of your choice and mingle. 
Another idea is to meet at Greasewood Flats. That is a fun, unique place with pretty good food and if people wanted to stay later, they usually have live music.
What do you guys all think? Put in your two cents worth and speak up!

When should we do this little gathering? What does everyone else think? Please, if you have any great ideas, post them! I love trying new things and going new places and if I make some new friends that is even better.

Greasewood Flats is in North Scottsdale. It is a restaraunt that has outside picnic table style seating. It is a great place if you like to people watch because you will see any and every kind of people there. Everything from tourists there in there RVs to cowboy litereally riding their horses and hitching them at the hitching post to the bikers there on all kind of bikes.
It also has a pretty decent burger!

lol sure glad you cleared that up cruzin!!  Bring your house mate Amy, I always figure the more the merrier.
Does anyone have a preference about when? Does anyone have say . . . a birthday coming up or any other reason to celebrate?

Are you inviting anyone?
If so, I would definately like to partake in you festivities.
(Join Your Party).
Early June is good for me. How does everyone think of that.
You would need to schedual it at least a couple of months down the road for the out of towners.
I don't know, it's your party sweetheart, you make the call.

Well, I'm Amy's housemate and if it's not the first weekend in June, I'm game. Either way, AZ, if MD has its distances right, you're within walking distance of us, or one of us could pick you up and bring you along...just curious though, 'open-minded'...what would we be letting ourselves in for?????????

Absolutely, everyone is invited to whatever we end up doing. I think it would be great if you could join us.
I would like to go to the drive in theater in the next couple of weeks (before it gets too hot). What do the rest of you think. I did find two drive-ins, one in scottsdale and one in glendale. The cost is $6.00 per person for a double feature! Not too bad at all.
They are showing current shows and each of them have multiple screens. Some of the show currently playing are:
Vacancy
Spider man III
Ghost Rider
Old school
Path finder
Meet the robinsons
Teenage Mutant Turtles
Are we done yet?
Wild hogs
Disturbia
Lucky you
The reaper

Those are some of the movies playing at both drive-ins.
Soooooo, what all does everyone want to see and when do you want to go? I am up for just about any time. That is good for greasewood flats too . . . Anyone have a night/weekend they want to suggest?
