I just noticed that *Chat* is back on the banner navigation . . .and sure enough, if you click it . . .chat opens! There were only two others there, but at least I didn't have any problems with my scroll sickness . . .

Guess we are getting a view of things to come....looks like after picking our brains to create a site of major interest to single people....the future appears this site is headed to a pay site.....whats everyone else's opinion? Chat is now only for paying customers....will the forums be next, then email....????? hummm

Hasn't MD always had the option of paid memberships? 
From what I gather, chat tends to get a bit out of control lately. I can't see any business being forced to pay someone 24/7 to monitor/moderate something that's supposed to be a privilege...especialy if it's free and being abused.
...just a thought

What in the world makes you think that Matchdoctor is or was being forced to pay someone 24/7 to monitor/moderate something that's supposed to be a privilege? Same as the forums. I doubt very seriously, from what I have read in the little time I have been on this site, that anyone sits and moderates these forums.

Gold members only!!! OK fine thats understandable, but, WHY wasn't anyone notified whether paying or not. I'm just upset that the site can't even let there own chatters know what is going to go on. Been here a long time, just thought it was better than that.

Perhaps they have their reasons for charging..I used to visit the chat a lot then I stopped..just wasn`t like it used to be..as for paying for the forums and all that..thats really up to them ..if they do they do...

I guess there is no longer any confusion about monitoring.
If MD wants to charge for Chat, so be it. They have provided us with a lot of freebies, for a long time now. I pay less than six dollars a month for my membership here. That is nothing!
MD...Is it possible to have private forum rooms of some kind...invite only?
