As some of you noticed, there is a chili-pepper icon beside some thread titles. (use to be a cigarette lighter right before making this post) We call these threads "hot" threads. A hot thread is a thread that has a lot of activity (posts/views) happening. Quickly allows you to see which threads are getting the most action.

I like the peppers idea, but they seem to be on every thread? Perhaps you should consider raising the requirements ( i.e. 200 views instead of 100) Just seems like every thread is "hot"

Yes, we're going to tweak the settings. Forums are just getting too popular for the old settings

I liked the lighters better. Is there a way to customize things like that on my own computer?

I haven't seen a pepper yet, mine always has lighters. I've tried deleting the cookies and refreshing but it always has lighters. Doesn't matter to me, I'm not choosy.

redhairNfreckles,
If you are using Internet Explorer, try deleting everything in your Temporary Internet Files folder, being sure to close Internet Explorer first. Then, all the page elements will be reloaded when you come back to MatchDoctor as well as all the other sites you go to. Deleting Cookies would not have any effect on the images.

Did you do the Shift/Refresh thang? I know you did "Refresh", but you need to hold down the "Shift" key while refreshing.
When I first saw the chili pepper, I thought it was for Haban, since he likes habanero peppers. LOL! It was at our gathering thread. I didn't know the chilis were all over the place.
