I can't figure out the time/log-out thing. Sometimes it seems to be hours, sometimes 10 or 15 minutes  That's why, if it's "important" or an "effort", I simply highlight/copy before hitting "send". Just in case. (And there MIGHT be a difference if you're signed in 'invisible' or 'remember me' or whatever options that offered at log-in. I dunno -- still can't figure out the "pattern"  )

That's exactly what has been happening to me. And I think you're right about the time, it does seem to be more like 20 or 30 minutes.
With all this great technology you would think that this problem could be resolved!!

Yes, when you are just typing text in the web page form, MatchDoctor doesn't log that as activity, since information isn't being transmitted until you hit the "Post Blog" button. In order for it to be counted as activity, one must click on something inorder to keep from being timed out. But each time you do that, you may risk losing any unbacked up text you may have typed up on the web page.

You should no longer timeout when composing any type of message. blog, forum post, mail, etc.
As with most updates, you'll need to hold shift then click refresh to make sure you have the latest copies of the javascripts cached in your browser.

Is there a way to dissuade egomaniacal bloggers from posting multiple one-line blogs to fill the page of new blogs with just a lot of non-sense? Perhaps arrange blogs by the number of kudos so they actually meant something? Are there rules posted for blogging? and a place for reporting abuse?

There's really no rules right other than the obvious abusive stuff. But we are going to be instituting some changes in the near future. The changes will prevent users that simply use blogs as a "message broadcast" from appearing on the new blogs page. Another feature will add a kudo threshold option to new blogs. For example, only show me blogs with X or more kudos, so any blogs with negative kudos will be removed from your list.
We have so much here to do and wish we can do everything at once for you guys  Just hang in there a bit longer

Hi Matchdoctor! This site rocks and all the changes you've made are great.
I know I've asked about this before, and now that the "blog comments" option has taken off so well I'm going to ask again.
There is no way for me to figure out which blogs my favorite members are commenting on unless I slog through each blog every day checking for them. I'm wondering if it would be possible to add an extra tab onto our profile specifically for blog comments, so I can click and see a list of blogs so-and-so responded to. Or perhaps it can be added onto our favorites tabs, so not only can I see who's posted on a forum, but also if they've commented on a blog.

Thanks for continually improving and upgrading MD! I like Jen's request of seeing where our favorites are posting comments. Sometimes the comments are as good or better than the blogs. (even on my blogs)

Hi MD,
I'm wondering why you took blogger's pics off the homepage....I really liked seeing my favorite bloggers faces (and yeah, my own too) when I log in. If it says like this I'm going to have to remember their screen names (sob!) and not just click on my favorite pictures...
Are you thinking of keeping it like this?
