this isn't an 'official announcement' but a 'public service announcement'.
it would be polite of gold members to please reduce their huge graphics to a smaller size, expecially from those who use a lot of large animations and over-size photos. not only is it annoying to have to scroll to read the threads, but for those with dial-up and/or slower computers it tends to make a page take forever to load all the way.
pictures may be reduced to smaller sizes either through your photo-bucket-type hosting site accounts, through personal image/photo software, or online resizing sites:
image shack
photobucket
resizeit
resize2mail
photosize
mypictr
faststone
none of these sites is a 'recommendation', just a quick google search. image shack is easy because it not only hosts for free but you can click 'thumbnail' (or other size) and it rescales the picture automatically then gives you a url.
and please use your 'preview' button to doublecheck to see the picture size. the readjust it if necessary.
we could impose maximum limits on the physical size of graphics that are posted, but that would limit ones that wouldn't be clear or legible if they were forced to be much smaller.

To resize in Photobucket (which most of us use):
Always save the image to your album. Believe me, it will hold plenty.
After you've saved to "My Album" the view in "My Album". Click the resize button in the top left corner.I f you see "Web site, Email", click that button, click yes when prompted and the pic will be perfectly resized for use on MD..And doing this will ensure that you never get the "Bandwidth Exceeded" message either.

Hi triangle guy and misschoos........and mom........ooooh ok......I am not that great and I am trying and I admit when I do my booboos.........but........this is good information like I am in class........I like step by step.......    wait till I tell luvs and my other people........   ]

I personally LUV the BIG pics....'especially Luvy's and ^^^^....BUT
now that the Goldies have been informed about how it makes things difficult for the 'dial up' people....I'm sure they'll try to adjust.

 I have been practicing and it was going fine and then......when it asked me about size it did not get smaller it got bigger... ....and that was some big banana....... that I practiced on  ... I swear..  .....but I will still practice.....like I said I am not afraid to make my booboos  and admit it.........sorry  triangle guy........ I will practice..  ..everyday and I have my friends here too

Carpe.........   I am aware......of my booboos  but I am ok with myself......... it's those bananas that are not working with me........however..........I seen a few of my .....girlies here.......  that have used the big pictures..too.......  very interesting.....and the plot thickens....... ...........

I love all this stuff..........it really helps me along the way............ regardless of my booboos.........I learn from my mistakes ...........so I don't ever have to go back............just forward.........

I always try to resize large pics, though some get through because I'm such a hurry to post (response time is of the essence in some of these threads...lol).
