Is it realistic to expect to find someone without any baggage?

I have been exploring the vertual date world for a little while now. I often times come across people and ads stating, "I'm looking for someone without any baggage." or, "I have no baggage." Are these folks being realistic?
What are your thoughts on this.

we all have baggages and skeletons in our closet. maybe it might be more realistic if u look for someone that has a carry on baggage rather than the giant travlers trunk.

I Think In the world today, we don't have a whole lot of choices, Meeting someone Period seems to be a Bag of its own....Our World has Gone way to far Beyond Realization. Keep Looking is all we can do I Guess
There's been no Luck at my end...maybe at my age I'm better off staying Single. I have contacted the ones that has the same wants as mine and then find out that's not true at all, if you know what I mean....Why Be UN..Honest, I think that is very Unfair to the Good People...Good Luck In Your Search, I think My search is Just about over.....Take Care.....Jan

No baggage by 30....
You haven't lived.
We have all been hurt, lied to, betrayed (hey, those are all the same aren't they), loved someone that maybe couldn't love us the way we needed or we were't what they needed.
Baggage is what makes you who you are. Just like yourself and the baggage stays in the back where it belongs :)

Baggage means different things to different people. What I've found is that when people expect "no baggage", what they really mean is that they don't want you to still be nursing a grudge over your last breakup, or have a hanger-on of an ex that won't go away, or other silly drama like that...

hmm baggage, i got 2 kinds and one is in the closet gathering dust. but this weekend im pulling them out to go on a trip to take care of the second type of baggage. ive learned that as we grow up and learn how to communicate that old baggage just dosent have the same power it used to have. its still there but just dosent matter as much because time has healed.

Well, you might want to try to find someone whose baggage is, at least, interesting. But, for the time being, no liquids--at least if you're flying.

There really is no life situation somone could be in that would enable them to be baggage-free. Even if all of their own relationships have been great and only ended by "life" happening (which rarely happens), you've got tons of people carrying baggage of the bad relationships of others. I've known many people who have baggage related to their parents' ugly divorce, or the way their best friend was chewed up, spit out and run over by love before their very eyes. And there are those who have baggage because they do seem to have good relationships but they still just don't work out and they can't understand why, or because they have tons of friends but can't get any of those millions of fish in the sea to bite the line. Baggage has gone the way of death and taxes. I agree with those who've said it's a matter of how you carry it. I find a nice, big bow and some glowinthedark stickers tend to help matters.

...Asking for "No baggage" is as absurd as to ask for someone without a Past. Think of it, who other than a child has no past?... The obvious answer is nobody.
Assuming we're talking about adulthood here, what adult then would not have a past which did not reflect on that person as they exist today? What mindless dribble!
I'd be more concerned with what a person consists of Today, and not the least bit with how they got to this point. If you're a mental-case today as a result of some past trama, then I would not describe you as 'having baggage' . It would seem to be more to the point to state that you have a problem in the here-and-now, irregardless of the past. That then is a useful perspective, as we all can deal with the here-and-now, but nowbody can change the past.
