It is a little harder to meet people from southern Cali. No particular disliking of them. 3-400 miles tends to be a bit of a gap.

It's kinda strange to me to know that the San Jose and even Navato is considered "North Cali" though I know they are. I live about 250 miles north of San Jose, in Redding, just about as "North Cali" as you can get.

You've not been north of Redding obviosly. Theres 122 miles left to the Oregon border. I live in Montague, near Yreka which is 22 miles from the border.

To us in the Bay Area, any place north of San Luis Obispo is probably considered "northern California".
