The Cost to See Mickey Mouse has gone up again:(

I love Disney World , its my favorite place in all the world.. but I am so upset, I cant believe they are raising ticket prices again. A one day ticket has now gone from 64.00 to 67.00. I know their operating costs have got to be astronomical but this is insane. I think every child should have the opportunity to experience this magical place but how can families possibly afford prices like this???

I am having Mickey withdrawals too, Disney is an important part of my life but when you have to choose between paying your bills and going to Disney, it makes it tough. I miss the good old days when you had the A-E coupon books and it was affordable.

I have no problem dating myself, I went to Disney for the first time in 1974 three years after the park opening. I have been hooked ever since. I still get as excited as I did the first time. I luv my Disney just not the cost.

my first time at Diz was in May of 1972 and I remember the coupon books, didn't like that you could only go to however many attrations you had the coupons for :(
and what was it back then like $15.00 for the regular book of coupons? And I think you only got 2 E coupons which were for the best attractions.. I like it better that it's unlimited use now but the cost is so unrealistic for families. The annual pass is actually very afordable when compared to the single day rate. I contemplated the season pass or even the epcot after 4 pass because I really like epcot alot. I will definitely do something by the time the food & wine festival starts!

I've just moved back to FL (part-time) in Jan. after living in another state for 25 years. I remember too, when DisneyWorld first opened, then Epcot, and I haven't seen anything there since. My kids and g/kids were down here last week and I wanted to go to Busch Gardens (hadn't been there either in over 25 years). Well, rude awakening, it would have cost $270 to just get in! We went on a dolphin watching boat ride in Clearwater instead for $78. It's ridiculous how much these attractions have gone up....families can't afford to even have fun anymore.

I know that is one of the perks. I just wish disney would do the same thing as Seaworld and Busch Gardens and have the passes that you can pay monthy on. I have one for Busch Gardens and Seaworld, it is a two year pass and costs me 13.00 a month, plus free parking and a discount on anything you buy, including food and drinks.

Well, considering that Disney owns ABC studios, had several box office movie bombs over the years. I think the Disney Corporation thinks that they can recoup some of the money they lost by raising prices at the parks and as long as people are willing to pay for the higher cost, Disney will continue to raise prices

The fog is from the staff I was holding, it flashed right as the picture was being taken.

I hope you had a really nice day at Disney Bbwinpinellas. The last park I visited was Epcot in June. There are some new attractions and new shows opening this year. I hope I can somehow find to go. I particularly love Disney at Christmas its just enchanting.

Christmas is very nice at the parks......I think it's called the Robinson family Christmas, is really nice.....just alot of Christmas lights on studio houses at MGM studios.....At one time they really belonged to a family but it got too big and too many for their home and neighborhood.
