Ok, thought I would bring up something new. I was asked this in an interview when I was going for a new position at work.
At this point of your life, what is the one thing you regret doing or not doing.
I regret getting married and giving up my dream of owning a farm and breeding horses to make him happy.

I try not to focus on regret because I think it is a time and energy waisting emotion. I think the negitive self destructive energy of regret should be focused into something positive like conforming your present life into what you would like it to be. I think we all need to give ourselves a break sometime as well. I mean that we can be our own worst enemy when we dwell on past short comings, loosing sight that we are fallible human beings and that is alright as long as you continue the growing and moving forward process.. The power of positive intention can be a very strong thing, much more worthy of your energy than focusing on past events that you cannot change. I like the saying "today is the first day of the rest of my life" and whatever mistakes we have made in the past ,Ill learn and grow from ,such is life.

Well Witchie I don't have any regrets yes there are some things that I wish would have been different but if they had been would I still be the person I am now?Would I still have the knowledge gained by these could have been, might have been, and should have been situations?
The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have."
I agree with Kenn: you take the most difficult challenge you are facing and you turn it into the greatest opportunity to grow simply by changing how you see it.
If you have a dream, pursue it. Make it happen, remember it is not all about getting what you want it's wanting what you have.

LOL ! Kenn don't worry about the spelling, I understood it just fine. After all take this as an example:
I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdgnieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe.

misteriosa that was awesome.. and yes indeed I too could read every word.
My Regrets are I always wanted to be an actress but was to painfully shy to pursue it. I use to practice monlogues and reanact movies for hours on end as a child. For many Summers when I visted my Grandparents in New Jersey I would organize the children in the neighborhood and we would put on a backyard performance for the parents and neighbors. It even got a write up in the local paper three years in a row. In my teen years I got involved in some community theatre, but never had the courage to take on anything but the small roles. I did get to live vicarously through my daughter who acted for eleven years professionally. She lived my dream till she moved on to other pursuits.
My next regret was giving up playing the flute. I just did not want to practice and after three years of lessons put the flute away. I think playing a musical instrument is such a gift.

Oh I agree with Ken too, I couldn't believe they asked that in a interview. They asked a few strange questions, but that was by far the strangest one.
And Ken, your not the only one that has to go back and correct things all the time. You know with all the other stuff on here when you type a message, you think they could add spell check

Job interviews and proceedures are getting stranger and stranger. I work for Orange County Florida. New job applicants have to take a polygraph test and they even look into your financial background for certain positions. Of course there is the background check and drug test.

What killed me with this one is it was an internal interview and I knew both the manager and supervisor. I have been with this company for almost 9 years. One of the other questions was, if you took out a full page ad in the New York Times, but could only use three words to describe yourself, what words would you use. Of course me being me, used three words that make me sound like a Lab....and told them that...lol
Oh and yes, I did get the position...no more pay, but at least it is less stress and a boss who doesn't micro manage and treats you like an adult not a two year old.

However, if I edit a post and somehow I have the urge to edit it again, I just remove the last time stamp that appeared in the message, the previous time I modified it. Then, only the new time stamp appears and everyone in the whole wide world just knows I edited it that one time - in other words, they aren't told that I went back and changed it twenty-six times - along with the date, hour, and minute of each change!

Yeah, I think there's like a five or ten window, where you can edit it, before it starts putting time stamps on. Then after two hours you can't change it at all.

P.S. I think if you edit it a 3rd time the computer shocks you through your keyboard courtesy of match doctor,I think I read it in the licence agreement when I signed up "no dumb asses allowed",so im scating on thin ice.

So thats what that is!!!!!!! Ken we do not judge folks around here by their typos or mispells. You are always articulate and are easily read. We all make errors. I cant say that I am keen on that editing stamp. Who cares that anyone went back and edited.
