I went last night, it blew....2 1/2 hour long lines to haunted houses that sucked.....we road one ride and that was the mummy which we had to go through the line 2x because the first time it broke and shutdown when we stood in line for an hour, very gay. Anyway thats my wrapup for the evening.

My Sympathies Abe.. I use to work at Islands and Universal part time for six years . Halloween Horror nights is always a fiasco in terms of wait times. The only way to see everything is to buy an express pass and not go on peak nights, its going to get worse as it gets closer to halloween. You need a strategy before you go to. You really need to be there when the gates open at 6:30 all the houses are not open when you get there, there is a schedule on your park map. Start at those houses that open early. If you get on ride lines too you will not get to see the haunted houses. skip the parade if they have it this year , its never that great. This is my first year not working at Hallowen Horror nights, and I am not sorry , my job there was to do a guest satisfaction survey as people exited the park, most of the people were angry and upset due to the very long waits.

and HOW much are the tickets? it's outrageous what the tickets are for the fact that you have to wait sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to get into a haunted house...
i think it's very worth it to go on a non-peak night a few days after it opens every year...but you'd never catch me there on a weekend or closer to halloween...
even if i got free tickets...the headache i'd have from the wait times would be awful enough to not go

I guess people are gluttons for punishment and came back year after year. They do have a pass thats a good deal if you are local. It allows you to go on every non peak night for a price that is slightly more then one nights admission. I think thats the only way to see everything without having to buy a express pass that costs as much as an admission ticket. Of course there is always the VIP tours for those who can afford them. You have a tour guide and priority seating and express into all the houses.
HHN has lots of bad memories for me.

I would rather spend my money to go to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Its not scarey but its really cute, and any reason to go to disney is a good reason. You can wear costumes , they are not allowed at HHN and I know you will get your moneys worth there.

My daughter, son in law and granddaughter just went to Disney's Halloween Party and had a ball. I think it was about $30 each person and they all dressed in Pirate costumes and brought back about 5 bags of candy! They went to Haunted Mansion and didn't have much of a wait in line....

Fright lovers might not care for the tamer Halloween at Disney, but Disney makes it fun for all ages. Disney makes every occassion special.
