Dove you keep saying well I would let the person know or I would do this or that just because it's what you would do doesen't mean someone else has to or will tell you thet don't want to talk to you again. Why are you guys so whiny oh he never called again ohh it hurt my feelings ohh I was so worried that something happend to them.
For the last time if it childish so what but the point is people sometimes want to just not talk to someone else anymore an they don't feel like taking the time to tell you why in fact they probablly don't know why. Or they met someone else or for whatever reason. Who cares accept that your so called friend no longer wants to talk to you because he never gave a crap about you in the first place. duh.
Here is the point. An the only point you need to understand ( The guy" is telling "you that he doesen't want to talk to you anymore by no longer contacting you )
Now witchie why don't you get off the computer an go to the gym an don't even try to blame your overweightness on heredity.
An Dove i am not bitter it just anoys me when girls get so upset over relationships or guys that treat them bad because they couldn't of treated you bad if ya'll hadn't let them.

Quote I have a friend in Ireland that I have talked to almost daily for 3 years now. If all of a sudden I stopped hearing from him, I would think something happened to him. If he stopped talking because he didn't want to be "friends" that is fine, tell me....but if it was because something happened to him...sick, dead whatever.....I would never know. I would rather know the truth then worry that something terrible has happened to the person.
Reply I agree ,everyday for 3 years ,that is alot of time invested, you would think that he could take 5 minutes to tell you what changed and why he doesnt want to continue with the friendship.
If you just meet someone and then they dont get back with you its kind of a no brainer"Hes just not that into you" as the rightly named book goes, but to develope a friendship over 3 years ,I would feel a obligation to explain if it was me ending a friendship for some reason.
Maybe his new girl friend wont let him talk to other women? Just guessing, but if thats the case he should still tell you.

I was not talking about people that youv'e known and hung out with and talked to every day for years an years I am talking about people you just recently met or have been dating for only a few months.
Now for the Irleand thing. You never even met this person if you were to find out he was dead what are you going to do fly to Irleand for the funeral?
You don't even know this person all you know is words on a screen the only real attachment to him you have is the one you made up in your head because you needed one.

The problem is that you girls want to go around an make up excuses for people's actions an behavior an talk about what someone should or shouldn't do an not except the real answers for people's behavior which sometimes is that they don't even know why they are behaving the way they are.

I am just trying to figure out where this junk came from. This was a dead thread for about a month and I didn't see anything whining. Hummmm and the thread was started by a man asking the question.

Hmm...I have read....and I cannot say that she is wrong...nor can I say Dove is wrong....And yet again, nor can I say Witchie is wrong.....These are matter of opinions....not facts....true, one way of notifying somebody you dislike them is to refraim from contacting them...however this is the most basic of instints...To tell somebody you dislike them is distasteful as well, as for being one who has received more then just a few "I don't like you"...To propurly inform someone that you don't like them is to know how to be tactful and not hurt their feelings.
But this isn't what the thread is about at all. It's not about not contacting somebody. The threads truest intention is a concern about those who either purposely or unintentionally play with someone's feelings....I say this is bad, however sometimes one must fall into the trap to overcome and grow stronger. I have done so and I know I seem cold to most people...

Brain the first message in this thread was about someone leaving someone else hanging which I assumed to mean that someone stopped talking to someone else ehich is the reason for my first comment

You posted your believes....however to go off and make a personal attack upon witchietoo is unhonorable and unnessicary...As heavy as she may be, pointing it out is not a wise decision....it is very offensive, and you need to appologies...
