I think the one thing that really miss about being married or at least having a companion is cooking for someone besides myself. I'm a good cook and love making dinner for two. I still cook, the Beaver (my motor coach) has a great kitchen, but it's not the same without somebody to sit down and enjoy it with. How about you? Do you cook full meals or just snack. Or do you just grab something at a fast food joint. Truly, curious

I have started cooking again.. It was easy to stop for fast food on the way home, but that food over time ran havoc on my waistline as well as being really unhealthy. So I have been cooking and freeze some for another day or two. I am not the greatest cook , but have not harmed anyone as of yet.

I don't cook anymore. I absolutely HATE cooking for myself. Never could do it. Mostly I don't eat -- or rather, I "graze", occasionally. And not on healthy things
...could be why I've postponed installing a kitchen in my gutted house...for three years No "incentive"

I love cooking and I tend to cook too much food as I come from a big family. When I have the urge to really cook, I make something on a Sunday that I know I can bring into work and share with my lunch crew. Or I make meals I can freeze part of it and have it again some other night

I used to cook before my daughter decided she wanted to. (We don't like the same things.) Whenever I cook, I have to clean up the kitchen first. Then I have to clean it when I'm done -- sort of ruins the fun. I eat light for dinner, a can of soup or something from the grocery deli. I go all out for holidays.

I still cook for two, now it just makes for two meals. When I was married I always cooked and she always did the dishes but I did clean up after myself because I can't stand cooking in a messy kitchen. Of course now I do it all. Anybody care to come to dinner? Truly,

Every now and then I get a bug and cook something for myself, but like everyone else have so much left over I end up eating it for a week............so the can of soup, salad from a local fast food place or a hamburger when I'm feeling really bad...........is what keeps me going....................
Gosh you must have 20 people who have answered you request for a dinner partner..............do I need to take a number........... ................or how about a MD dinner and we all bring something...............I'll sign up for a can of soup..........................

Jfreak the only good that came from meeting the devils spawn was that we became good friends. That must really piss him off.

pagan, I do all 3. Mostly, I guess I just snack there's always junk food in my house. Occasionally, I like to cook, like today, a whole pork tenderloin w/sauerkraut in the crockpot and mashed potatoes on my plate (with the sauerkraut on top). Now I'll be eating the darn stuff into the middle of next week!

Red, I make a roast pork, dumplings and sauerkraut that's to die for. I'll send you the recipe. As for pot luck at Pagan's, I'm up for it. I used to cook lunch for fifty Cowboy gunfighters two or three times a month. Love cooking for a crowd! Truly,
