I love watching the old MASH TV shows
the Hallmark channel pretty much only shows that show now...
I started watching it in college...one of the best shows ever.
It has great humor and yet at times shows the deep moments of the human conditon...

It is so funny you brought this up. I was talking to someone I use to hang out with and haven't talked to in 17 years the other night. He happened to bring up the show and we spent about 20 min just talking about MASH. When I rode on an emergency squad many years ago, we faithfully watched MASH. The night of the last show a bunch of us gathered around the tv hoping we didn't get a call. As luck would have it, just as the ending credits started rolling we got hit with two calls. I still watch them when I can...even though I have seen them so many times, there are still ones that make me cry.

I love Mash and still watch it often....The series set the standard for some of the best television programming ever. The ensemble cast will go down in history. I liked the series more then the Robert Altman Film. The Show was so topical too.Though the series was set in Korea, M*A*S*H, both the movie and the series, was initially developed as a critique of the Vietnam War. It was a sign of the times and still speaks volumes even today.
I have the tune in my head now... "Suicide is painless"

I love the Radar character
the episode when he is leaving is sooo good
Radar can not get or find anyone to say goodbye to and he pokes into the OR door window and Hawkii looks at radar and then salutes him and radar salutes him back. A fantastic moment showing the respect that radar deserved while at the same time being the innocent cute kid of the outfit.

You even ended up liking Hot Lips and Frank Burns after awhile. Trapper and Hawkeye were my favorites. I love the movie almost as much as the show
The one I still get teary over is when Henry goes home, but gets killed on the way.....

The best joke episode was the one where Hawkeye thought there were jokes all around hom but there were none :)
And then he danced on the table at the end ;)

That was a good one Zeno
How about the one where Potter comes into camp to take over and Radar ignores him at first and then goes and tells him what he can do with the horn.

I recently saw a episide that I nearly forgot about . They were all competing in a bowling competition against another Mash Unit. Margaret got their bowling champ drunk so he would be worth nothing the next day. Margaret turned out to be the best bowler and won the championship for the unit.

The shows with Radar O'Riely were the best. My favorite one is the show where Col Blake is leaving to go home and is saying farewell to everybody and saves Radar for last.

I have always loved watching M*A*S*H.... Radar lives near where I live. He lives in an RV park in his RV and if you are lucky, you can see him in grocery store or Walmarts!...

You would think that Gary Burghoff with all the royalties from Mash could do better then living in a RV. Im kind of surprised , he is an accomplished artist as well his wild life paintings can sell for $10,000. He has been involved in theatre since M*A*S*H.... as well as guest appearances on TV shows. It would be cool to have "Radar " as a neighbor.

did any one read the book???? the main scene that didn't even make it to the movie, they got trapper drunk, tied him to a cross, hung the cross from a rope, other end to a chopper, and flew him over the front line... it was hilarious!!!!!!!!!

http://chronicleonline.com You can go to our county newspaper and do a search on Gary Burghoff and find out more... He loves nature and likes living in RV. He has done some autograph signing here recently. Just having money, fame and a big house doesn't always make you happy and he seems to really enjoy this area...it is the nature coast and very serene and beautiful. His RV is a BIG one...
