Hello all, I just would like to get peoples views on Tats on women. Not that i care if people don't like mine but i do have 2 and am getting ready to get another. My daughter and i are getting matching arm bands. I guess you would say it is a mother, daughter thing. My first tat is my mothers Tat. It has my son and my daughters names on it as well as my 3 grandchildrens names. It is on my profile if you would like to see. So open up and lets see what we get....

I don't have an issue with Tat's on women at all...could be because half my chest, part of my arms and legs are covered with them...lol
My first one was a tiny little rose that I got when I was 41...all mine have a meaning to me. The one that means the most to me is a breast cancer ribbon one on my leg. That one is for my mom, she is a 16 yr survivor of breast cancer and it hasn't been easy for her. The tat was my way of showing her how much I respected and love her. She doesn't really like my tat's, but when I showed her that one, she cried.

There was a time where my attitude was very different... I thought why deface what you were born with and do something so permanent to your body... But I have come a long way baby I think Tatoos are a beautiful artisitic statement of who you are. I think men and women that have them are as special as the statement they make. Witchie knows I do not have one because I am a chicken.. but one day I may go see the wizard for some courage and will proudly show of my work of art.

Ok I don't think there is anything wrong with them myself, I have 2 and want one more. This is the way I see it, if you don't like them then don't look at them. Mine can be covered up if I want them to be, but forget it I live in Florida and it is just to hot all the time to do that...

well, if you ladies would like to, please, feel free to send me pics of tats.....lol... actually, I like some on ladies, the small ones, and the ones in the small of the back... BUT As Ken said it is up to the person who it is on.. I truly feel, that if a person "thinks" they look good, they "act" like they look good, therefor, they "do" look good...

I don't have any tattoos and I don't think I'd want to get any, but I certainly don't have any problems at all with tattoos, or with the people who have them. It's their body, and for them, their body is their canvas upon which they express their unique personality.
I once was in a relationship with someone who had six tats - one for each of her five children, the sixth was of her ex-husband, whose name she eventually had blackened out. Yes I agree, bad idea to go get tats of your current lover. In that case, you might as well have your cat's age tattooed

I am a retired tattoo artist and have many (over 50) tattoos. I love art of any kind and have always admired tattoos. I get alot of looks, some good, some not so good. Alot of people compliment me on mine and alot of guys tell me they think they are sexy....so they aren't so bad nowadays...........one guy told me they were "tramp stamps" and I was very offended by his ignorance and rudeness as I am not a tramp and probably alot of women with them are not tramps....

LOL...I love it! Both of mine mean alot to me and Dove my son designed my first one when he was 17 and i carried that drawing with me for many years. I was 33 when he drew it and i finally did it when i was 41...LOL so don't worry when your ready you will know it. After i got the first one (and it is a very large one for my first) my second one was a breeze. Im a little nervous about the arm band my daughter and i are getting. I mean, i thing the upper arm is alot softer skin then the shoulder but hey, it will have a very special meaning as bothe the once i have to so it will be worth it....

I didn't go around the arm, just over the shoulder caps and in the center of each upper arm...now the male friends I have that have bands, say the inside of the arm hurts like a b and to have them do that part first.
Diana, feel free to jump in anytime you want. We don't bite....well most of us don't!!

I don't know if I could do the inside of my arm either...I am good with tattoo pain, but even then I don't know if I could find my happy place. Still putting off finishing my chest one because I dread the breastbone being done...tiny bit of it is and I know how bad that felt...owwwwwww

I compromised and found a silver armband that I wear almost 24/7

In other words, I'm a complete chicken.
