If you think I am obsessed with Christmas you aint seen nothing yet. I am a bonafide American idol junkie. I am besides myself with happiness right now. Season six begins tomorrow night on Fox.Please do not miss the 2-day, 4-hour season premiere tomorrow and Wednesday, at 8/7c. Even if you are not a fan of the show, its never to late to partake in my madness.

So stop into this thread often and lets discuss the good , the bad , and the very bad singers that will grace our TV Screens over the next five months .

Dovetreasures obsessed fan rules.
1. Do not call me during the show( I just cant miss a single second)
2. Vote, Vote , Vote and Vote some more.
3. Visit this site daily...http://www.americanidol.com/

Bad Bad Witch.. you must not invade my two hours of Idol bliss.

And so it begins!!!!

Idol says this years auditions produced the largest crowds ever... speaking of large , it looks like Randy may have gained back some of those pounds he shed a couple of years ago.We are in Minneapolis tonight, Prince's home town.It sure does not appear that extraordinary talent will be discovered in the midwest.Seventeen hopefuls make it to Hollywood.

The first singer that fills the TV screen is the orgasmic cowgirl, I somehow cannot find any other words to describe her.

Next up is Jessica Rhode the make up artist, she gets to perform in fron ot her idol Jewel , sho is our celebrity guest tonight. Jessica becomes the first fatality of the night, as she is reduced to tears.

What can one say about the urban Amish dude. Troy did not have a clue what American Idol was all about, nor did he have a clue what singing was all about. But he did get his couple of minutes of fame.

Jesse Holloway wins hands down for most difficult to understand . Simon gave him a Catagorical Never! His version of : My heart will go on " sank faster then the Titanic.

Decked out in Red , White and Blue and looking like Apollo Creed ( who is Apollo Creed?) He tries to box his way to Hollywood with his loverly attempt at opera. You know his voice was not bad actually.

Sixteen year old former Crack baby Denise Jackson makes it to Hollywood. She has potential but is still rough around the edges. She is good television though. We all love rooting for the girl who overcomes adversity.

Tashawn Moore..no matter how hard she tried she could not find those KISS Lyrics in the deep confines of her mind. Had to admire her gumption, girlfriend just kept going and going!!!!

Flirty Girl Perla Menenses represents the Sunshine State. After Flirting with Ryan she manages to impress the judges with a luke warm Blondie song and a better Shakira song. There was a richness in her voice , but I do not think she will be around for long.

When singing cowboy Matthew V opened his mouth all i could think of was that cute little Garrett from season five. This Cowboy who discribed himself as having flair and pizazz, may have chose the wrong adjectives. He could wake up the dead though.. bet Johney Cash was turning over in his grave.

Well of course I knew Jarred Fowler was going to Hollywood even before he uttered a single note. It was that all telling featured segment that gives it away everytime. He was very very good. Yes America will root for the Navy guy.

I had a feeling that we were not in Kansas anymore when the cowardly lion impersonator took the stage. It was so bizarre and odd I cannot even recall her name. They should have accepted her poster though, that was mean.

Randy was way to hard on vocal coach Steven Horst.. yes he was all over the place on his Aerosmith song. I would have likes to hear him try something else. I liked his voice, and Jewel was right , he could shine in musical theatre.

19 year old Michelle Stengas got her golden ticket to hollywood.. but we already knew that , since Michelle has been featured on the AI commercials the last couple of weeks. Her voice was smooth and silky. She might make it to the top 24. Keep an eye on her.

I want a boss like Dana Dooley.. how cool that he had so much faith in her. I kinda wished that they would have put her through.

16 year old Matt Sato, got me all choked up when he called his mom to tell her he made it to Hollywood. It was so important to him that his Mom was proud of him. He is one of those singers that make you say huh.. who would have thought that voice would have some out of him.

Reservist Rachel Jenkins got her featured spot, and she appears to have more talent then just working in her dads body shop. She will capture our attention. Her hubbys in Bagdad and she could be called to duty at any time.. I loved her voice.

Hands down Sarah Kruger has the wow factor. Of course she was singing one of my favorite songs , and it served Katherine Mcphee and Kimberly Locke quite well in the past. My fave of the night.

America's got talent juggler, singer , dancer dude, was just so crushed. His Mom said he was going to be famous anyway. Mom's can be so cool can't they?

Brenna ..Americans Idols greatest fan.. I beg to differ on that one, LOL . God bless her for trying, and it was cool that Ace drew her tattoo.

Josh Flom wins the award tonight for humility and determination ( his prize is free medical care at the Ear , nose and throat specialist of his choice. His vocal chords will need it) Yes Josh you will always be the Dancing Queen!!! So ya think there will really be an ABBA night?

Next Stop Seattle.. and it sure looks like a freak show from the promos.. Cant wait to see!!!!

I REALLY LOVE AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!!!!!!

A Freak show is a show where human oddities and freakish working acts perform.. Welcome to Seattle Washington.

9000 Audition , lets be thankful that there were no more.

Brandon Groves tried to shoot the sheriff last year, but even Uncle Sam could not save him from further public humiliation.

Our ears barely had enough time to recover when " The Hotness"Spicy Jennifer Chapton attempted to dazzle us with her vocal ability. Although when she opened her mouth her talent was a tirade of Simon put downs to Paula's delight.

Amy Salgado's greatest fan will continue to be her six year old son. Tone deaf Amy just refused to take no for an answer .

What can one say about Darwin "Misha" Reedy the Blonde BOMB shell. She said her attitude makes her sexy.. but I am convinced it was her tennis shoes. Her Mom was quite the looker too. I was so hoping they would do a duet.

Tommy Daniels gave up his job pumping gas, he slept snuggled up to trash cans , but it all payed off as he proudly accepted the first golden ticket of the evening. He gave Paula goose bumps , Randy liked his Fro.

Where the hell were the fashion police when Kerlina took to the stage . I was as baffled as Simon... what was up with the bizarre pink arms? I thought her dog had star quality though.

Blake Lewis and his spiked hair claimed the next golden ticket. I was thinking at this point that the judges were getting desperate for talent and had to put someone through.

Ahh at last some fresh air.

Brother and Sister.. Shyamali, and Sanjaya Malakar impress the judges. I think these two could grow with the competition . They need to tackle those nerves, and they just might stick around for awhile.

Ladies and gentleman may i introduce the William Hung of season six. Nick Zitzmanns
Nick says he is a leader, that he can sing on key and can project himself. Simon says Nick is Non-Human! I am convinced he is possessd by an alternative life force. I do however have a perfect way for Nick to showcase his talent. Nick would make an excellent spokesperson for "Head on" Even Randy appeared to have been in need of something to be applied directly to the forehead. As Nick and Forest Gump said" Thats pretty much all I have to say about this"

Rudy Cardena thank you ... for giving me something to smile about. My first goose bump moment of the season. He did Journey proud.

The freak show continues on day two and the rain drops stop , but Seattle is still quite the washout.

New Friends Kenneth Briggs and Jonathon are up next. Kenneth thinks he is boys band material and Jonathon says he has an amazing personality. Simon compares Kenneth to a monkey , but i think he looks like Peter Lorre.

Tayor Hicks Wannabe and singing hairdresser was most concerned he would be compared with Taylor Hicks.. no worries this is not going to happen no matter what.

She towers above the rest.. six feet four inches tall in her stocking feet. Anna Kearns earns RESPECT from the judges. Simon tells Paula and Randy they just put a giraffe through to the next round. Keeping with the theme, Paula and Randy growl at Simon.. did anyone else find this disturbing.

Sixteen year old Jordin Sparks has a wonderful set of pipes.. but of course Simon had to pick on her smile just like he picked on Gideons smile last year. She did a great job Randy thought she was just perfect.

Just when we think it could not get any worse we get to meet Steven Thoen. "Red" thinks he sings like Freddy Mercury.. but I kept thinking Serial Killer. This was one scary dude.

Yes Seattle is awarded with fifteen golden tickets and the freakshow comes to a close.

Welcome to Memphis the home of the blues, and some of our contestants will be singing the blues when they hear these famous words.

Sorry that was weird for me dog!

That was just over the top!

That was absolutely awful!

Franks and Beans had a squad of cheerleaders rooting for him , even though he sang "heard it through the grapevine" Simon was thinking of another food group "Corny" Frank Byers did not make it to Hollywood but nothing was going to curb his enthusiasm.

I could not help but wonder what drug Tamika Sims was on ? That glassy stare and slurred speech. Tamika should be grateful that she was only singing and not taking a sobriety test.

Chris Rivera sang Stevie and after the first note out of his mouth you knew his seven years of bad luck had just begun. Simon nor I could understand a single word he sang.

Alexis Partel was next but someone had the nerve to call me during Idol and disturb the sanctity of this musical moment so I do not have a clue about this contestant.

Wow its not even Abe Lincolns birthday yet , but his beard was in the house, and the mouth placed above it could sing EXTREMELY WELL. Roy Head would have been proud of his boy Sundance. Simon said he blew Taylor out of the park. At last I am getting excited about this competition

Time for the No Club

Wanda H may have unique hair but there was nothing unique about her voice according to the judges.

Wanda was in good company when a very "Emotional" Travis McKinney treated us to some spasmatic dance moves and a Song???? inspired by his girlfriend that he loves so much.

Danielle McCulloch..Yes I did not expect that bluesy voice to come out of Danielle. Paula thought she had an old soul, Simon was lusting, and Randy had a very bizarre look on his face that defies discription.

Two votes send her to Hollywood.

Chris-Topher MCcain wins the kleenix award of the night. His wife was cheating , and he took a beating from Simon. Even his Darling Paula couldent save him from further rejection. Topher slinks off to drink, sing karaoke and fall of the stage.

Ladies and gentleman its time for Jiggle Vision Juanita Burks Disco inferno caused Paula to cover up and Randy and Simon to just gape and stare like deers in a headlight. Simon says " You are a handful " Juanita and her boobs do not make it to Hollywood.

Who would have ever expected Fidel Castro to audition for American idol.. but there he was in his prime .

Sean Michel's soulful voice is sending him to hollywood. I would love to see the face under that beard.

Now I know E Angel liked him .. he has long hair and she called me right after his audition. Shame on you EA you know the phone call rule.

Melinda Doolittle will not be singing in the background for long with a powerful voice like that.

All three judges loved her, they put her in the top 2% ...but Randy made that weird face again.

Elvis never even entered the building and Robert Lee Jones was not channeling the King of rock and roll. He looked crushed, there would be no graceland in Roberts future.

I have to mention the Burning Love montage that followed.. what was up with the guy with the funny hat that pulled a hankerchief out of his unzipped pants? Hunka Hunka burning love.. I think not.

Congratulations Philip Stacey on the birth of your new baby daughter. Years from now she can tell the story how her daddy missed her birth to try out for American Idol. I fell in love with his eyes, but I am not so sure I really love his voice. He has that same nasal quality as Ace Young.

George Bush is next ... singing the State of the Union... whats up with all the polite applause, wonder what Simon would say.

We journey to my home town tomorrow NYC...

Goodness gracious one of the contestants who auditioned for "So you think you can dance" gets another fifteen minutes of shame when he tries out for Idol tomorrow night. If he sings as badly as he danced last year we are in for a treat. Nigel Lythgoe must really like him to have him back on National TV once again.

where are the idol fans hiding...

American Idol in NYC it does not get any better then that.

What a treat having Carol Bayer Sager as our guest judge this week , I have oodles of respect for her.

Well woulden't you know it "Mr Lips" Ian Bernado kicks off the show tonight. he was the dude I mentioned last night. I think that chinchilla around his neck was alive before he started singing.I just loved how he "TAWKED" to Simon. Superstar Ian had some awesome one liners. "Hollywood is like New Jersey with celebrities"

First Kleenix moment of the night. Sarah Burgess lied to daddy to follow her dream. The judges were touched by her plight. Her voice was lovely and she confessed her sins to daddy over the phone. I cant help but think this was staged.. if my daughter snuck off to NY I do think I would have been as calm as Sarah's dad.. but then again this is American Idol. See you in Hollywood.

Fania T may have had greek blood running through her veins but she did not have the talent gene like Constantine, Simon was appalled, but what else is new.

Ashanti Johnson aspired to get to Hollywood once again. She was too old fashoined and caberat for the judges, but she does win the best actress award of the night. Her desperate monologue was a fine example of exquisite begging.

Time for some eye candy for the guys. BFF ( Best friends forever) Amanda Coluccio and Antanelli Barba
I just could not help think of former BFF Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie when they opened their mouths. I suppose I can tolerate their Barbie doll perfection because they both thankfully have talent.

The judges thought Antanelli was the better of the two, but they both get a golden ticket.

Clifton Biddle.. sorry dude but just because Taylor impressed us with his harmonica does not mean that lightening was going to strike twice. Its a good thing his job is like a reality show, because foot stomping Clifton is not making it to this reality show.

Kia Thornton's vulnerable soft voice impressed the judges as she did Aretha proud . The judges said she was the best of the day. I whole heartedly agree.

The sun rises on day two. Simon has a singing hangover and is very very late.

Andre or is it Henry Bejaarana was very easy on the eyes and dripped charisma.. for once a Mom's encouragement was warranted. His voice was pure silk. I really liked him.

I was so rooting for Nakia Claiborne.. she was overflowing with enthusiasm , infectious and fun. She didnt do half bad on her first song , but she butchered the second. My heart was breaking for her. I was hoping they would put her through anyway, after all they even gave crazy Dave a chance last year.

Sarah Goldberg would be a fine candidate for Prozac or electric shock therapy. Those boots of hers were made for walking right out the door. She admittedly was tone deaf, but somehow forgot that singing was an important element of the competition.

Simon arrives just in time to expereince the very lack luster performance of Antonio Torres. I decided that I just do not need sleeping pills anymore.. all I have to do is replay Antonio singing New York , New York!

Former Canadian Jory Steinberg met the queen of England at eleven and now goes on to impress the American Idol Judges. Fabulous and very controlled vocal abilities.. I was impressed

American Idol Soldier Porcelenna P prooved that basic training pays off even in a singing competition. Her sculpted body and unique vocal stylings earn her a ticket to hollywood. I liked her too , but I sure would not want to piss her off. She should be interesting when group time rolls around.

I didnt think Christopher Henry looked like Simon , and his female vocal range was quite peculiar. I wish they would have given him a chance to try another song.Well he at least sparred the first Paula Simon fight of the season.

Rachel Zevito needs to get her eyebrows waxed , but the girl can sing and is as un- idol like as you can get. I would love to see what the stylists could do with her , if she somehow gets that far.

Christopher Richardson will go a long way and will wet the appetites of all the adolescent girls across America. A new boy toy is born

Nicholas Pedro I am delighted that he will get another chance at Hollywood .. I am a fan already from last year. How cool to see him back again

We got a snippet of Isadora Furman last week and tonight we got a full serving of the Orgasmic Cowgirl. Sometimes when she performs people like her and other times she gets arrested... hmmm wonder why. Her voice is a crime on its own.

NYC produces 35 golden tickets and some very very interesting TV moments

Alabama is next .. all I can say is BO BICE

Thanks Dove for the updates, I love em. You would make a great entertainment reporter. I love the way you cap the moments.

I missed the shows both last night and tonight. . SHAME ON ME. (goes off to the corner) Keep forgetting they are on. I need to write it on post-it-notes and stick them where I can find them. Like in the center of my monitor. LOL

Last week was a bad week. I think I cringed more last week that I have all the other seasons. but this week sounds like it went a whole lot better.

Next week, got to remember that. As for Bo Bice.........Ohhhhh what a guy!

I humbly thank you American Idol for starting out the the night with the magficent image of Bo Bice filling my television... Welcome to Birmingham Alabama , also the sweet home of Taylor Hicks , and Rueben Studdard.

First up is Erica Skye.. she had golden tresses and unfortunaely her unchained melody was less then golden . Simon said it was ever ending torture.. lets hope Simon does not end up in this aspiring dentists chair..revenge can be painful Simon.

My Orlando Florida home girl Katie Bernard may have inhaled a wee bit too much helium as a child , but not a bad set of singing pipes at all. The young newlywed makes it to hollywood, Katie has her own website already.Shine on Katie

Tatiana McConnico was poised and confident even before she walked in the room , and had every right to be so.. She wins the Dovie award tonight... She had the judges in the palm of her hands after three notes.

When Diana Walker hit the airwaves all I could think of was its the Michelin man in drag.Simon thought she had the most extraordinary dress ever. I agree with Simon.

Ah the vocal styling of Bernard Williams III Paula love you may want to clear that waxy buildup out of your ears.. I must disagree he was not off key at all. Simon and Randy save Bernard, and send him to Hollywood.

Margaret Fowler looked like a cross between Big Bird and a Marshmellow peep. I loved her spunk and gumption , but honestly Ms. Margaret twenty six years old is reallllly far away from fifty.

This seasons Kelli Pickler hails from Birmingham.. and her name is Jamie Lynn Ward.. her story was even sadder then Kelli's.Tune into Hollywood week to see how much closer Jamie gets to buying Grandma a new house and will she over come that nasal quality ????

American Idol meets last comic standing.. Chris Sligh, slays the judges with his quick wit and stellar voice. How can you not love a guy who wants to make David Hasselhorf cry.. Second Dovie award of the night.. this guy is awesome

Day 2 and Paula leaves the judging to Randy and Simon.

Rapunzel is now in the building.. and self described Disney Character Victoria ( do not recall her last name, I was too busy thinking with hair like that who needs a swifter ) I thought she had a lovely voice and was amazed she didn't go through.. I bet Paula would have fought for her.

Lakia Hall thought she had the total package..if UPS left that package, i would have to return to sender. Simon bestows the honor of the worse voice in Birmingham

Team Nicole was there to offer support and condolences to the young Eva Langoria look alike . Simon had that constipated look when Nicole sang.. and he proclaimed that she too sang through her nose.. Nicole has potential I hope she tries again next year.

Brandy Patterson "floors" us with her rendition of like a Virgin and Proud Mary. Simon thought she was barking mad and was not at all convinced that she sounded better singing on the carpet.Brandy gets bleeped and Simon is having so much fun that he too is inflicted with wrong door syndrome that has struck so many contestants this season.

Twenty contestants make the cut in Birmington Alabama

On to the Rose bowl tomorrow night..Los Angeles .. Im thinking its not as much fun hearing welcome to hollywood when you live in LA.

just had to pop in and say i agree with Doves about showing Bo last night...can't get enough of that man!!!!

and a certain REALLY good friend gave me a Bo Bice calendar which is in eye shot on my wall at work so i spend my days with him...and i'm sad because it's about time to turn the page...i'll miss "Bo January"...but then again....now i'll visit with "Bo February"

i am thinking that this year they've gone out of their way to show even more of the bad than usual and it was funny the first couple weeks...but is starting to get old...

i KNOW they really have to be picky and hopefully this sends a message to some who "just shouldn't sing in public"...but you know how that goes...

i was also thinking about the swiffer thing with the one with the long hair...i thought her voice wasn't bad...but it wasn't pop sounding...

What an amazing friend you must have EA to get you such an incredible gift

Tinsel Town where dreams are made and dreams are shattered . Randy predicts our next American Idol will come from Los Angeles. Well Dawg I am not so sure.

Olivia Newton John adapts to her role as guest judge in no time.

Apparently the Los Angeles Zoo did not notice that one of their panthers escaped from his compound. Martik thought his animal magnetism would be enough to get by thankfully this wild animal only hurt our ears.

Just in time for Valentines day Romantic crooner Solandric tried to make the judges love him. His vocal abilities however could not even "Romance a stone"

Marianna Riccio's mom may have been one of Dean Martins Gold diggers , but there would no gold record in her future.Simon thought she sounded like Cher after visiting the dentist. Even her Foxy mom could not convince the judges to send her to Hollywood.

So what if Alaina Alexander's performance was pitchy, the judges thought she was cute. So it looks like her plans to quit singing were put to rest by the judges. Alaina gets her golden ticket.

Phuong Pham has the soul patrol in her heart but sadly she could not sing a note on key. Phuong's dream was crushed, but she made us all proud.I liked her spirit.

Background Singer Brandon Rogers made Paula quiver and Olivia sigh! Simon thought he was as likeable as he is, and predicted he would make it to the finals. Brandon radiates charisma and will charm the ladies

Simon could not recall Brian Miller from last season and either could I. Olivia really liked his voice and so did I. See you in hollywood Brian

By far the best performance of the night goes to sixty four year old Sherman Pore... what a heart rendering story. He may have lost his beloved to cancer, but what a loving tribute to her memory. How incredibly cool that the producers bent the rules for him. Of course he cannot go to Hollywood , but he captured America;s hearts

Soulmates Cavett Carr and Darold Grey might make beautiful music together, but though they say love is blind , I suppose it can be tone deaf too. Sparkles tried to make the moves on Simon, but she Darold and his grill will not be going to Hollywood.

Serious music student Eric Mueller spent 4-5 hours a day teaching himself to sing. Simon was beside himself with joy when he discovered that Eric's signature high voice was the product of Paula , and Randy's DVD " Sing like a star" Eric I would ask for my money back.

40 contestants make it to Hollywood...lets hope the ones we didnt get to see are better then the ones that we did.

The Stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas...we journey to San Antonio next Tuesday and perhaps the lonestar state will give us more to remember then the Alamo

Last Stop on the Audition tour brings us to San Antonio ...Texas a big State but will it be big on talent?

Eleven Thousand hopefuls fill the Alamo Dome but only twenty two walked away with a Golden ticket.

Not unlike Simon I was very sleepy as the first strains of the American Idol theme song hit the ariwaves. Thankfully Brian Kyrish was the wakeup call I needed for my senses to kick into idol mode. If Brian was a alarm clock he could wake the dead. His Rebel yell was devoid of music of any shape or form.

Haley Scarnato had the face that could grace a CD cover . Paula loved her dress , even though she claimed to have shopped at a hoochie store. Although Simon did not think her Angelic voice was unique she will be going to Hollywood to prove Simon wrong. I loved her voice.

Jasmine Holland may sing in the choir but her comments about the judges would not sit well in church. Randy was laughing even before she sang a note.. poor Jasmine even though she could not sing a note in tune, that had to be tough to take.

Bayley Brown may be a country girl from Krum Texas but she is all about fashion and the big city. Not only can Bayley sing. she has perfect white teeth , resembles Denise Richards and is a record label dream. Did anyone have any doubt that Bayley would be going to Hollywood? Beautiful girl and a lovely voice.

Live in Cousins William Green and Akron Watson were an unusual pair.

William will go on record as singing the slowest version of Amazing grace in the history of mankind. There was nothing sweet about the sound of Williams rendition.

Cousin Akron came up considerably higher in the talent pool. Although he lacked charisma and personality , he had a terrific voice . See you in Hollywood Akron.

Bless her heart but Music Teacher Sandy Chavez was singing the blues but soon had a case of the blues after being rated by the judges.. another one of those singers who just fail to articulate. The Mayor of Huston must be tone deaf.

The judges nearly let talented Ashlyn Carr go, when they just could not get past her grimaces when she sang.. but did anyone note the kissy fishy face that Randy was making while she sang? I am so glad they gave Ashlyn a unprecedented second chance. I agree she is unigue

This weeks scary singer award goes to Jake the snake . Jacob Tutor was too dark for the competition , and gave me the heebie jeebies.

Jimmy Mcneal was genuine , authentic and a fun little Rueben dude.. with a fantastic smooth as silk voice.

Just when we thought it was all over Tomorrow night we get the worst of the worst and the best of the best. I am ready for the best of the best!!!!!!

Ah one last look at the auditioners before we venture to Hollywood.. Tonight we see the Worse of the worse and the Best of the best.

The Dos and Donts of Auditioning!!!!!!

The Look

Krista Fazzino is really into fashion , but Simon thought she looked like someone from the dust bin. Her Fashion statement was not a sufficient distraction from her voice.

Tami Gosnell did not dress to impress...Her peirced lip looked painful to me but her dynamic and unique voice earns her a spot in Hollywood.

Seek inspiration

Pool Boy Paul Kim did not want America to think he was just another William Hung. Paul made his point He was awesome.

Jack ODanovich, I will try to forgive you for trying to sing like Bo Bice Since your song provided me with another opportunity to gaze upon my amazing Bo. The judges thought he was incredibly deluded.

Never Give up

Gina Gloxin auditions for Idol for the third time and makes it to Hollywood for the second time. Great voice and you have to admire her moxie as well as her Tatoos.

Flatter the judges

Edward Sanchez professes his love for Paula, he gets to kiss and hug her before he sings a single note.. Its a good thing he did. Simon said not only was he blind for loving Paula but he also was deaf. Edward could not care less that he did not make it to Hollywood, he was thrilled for his fleeting moment with Paula.

Time for a threesome.... three serving wenches on skates
Heather Rennie sings first and does not impress the judges.

Ashley Cleland is a little heavy on the makeup and thanks Paula for her motherly advice. She squeaks through to Hollywood

Ebony JointerStunning and in a different league then her friends glides easily into Hollywood. She will be in the Top 24 for sure.

Then came WES.. William E Samland.. Aspiring Singer and songwriter says his album will be ready for release in no time. We are treated to one of his original songs. " Dont Worry , Dont Hurry.. William I promise you do not have to worry, NO-ONE will be hurrying to buy your Album,

Shake your money Maker

Alexis Nazaris may go on record for being the most flexible falsetto singer ever. Paula and Randy just hated to hurt his feelings. He could not dance into Simons Heart though.

WOW is the best adjective to describe Lakeisha JonesShe did Aretha proud with that powerhouse voice of hers. She impressed Simon. It appears Lakeisha is a single Mom just like Fantasia Barrino. I got all teary eyed when she and her little girl were embracing. Keep your eye on Lakeisha she has talent and determination

Next week 172 will sing their hearts out in Hollywood to win those coveted spots in the top 24. I cant wait!!!!

Lets hear it for the boys!!!!

Tonight was plagued with pitch problems, nerves , and some poor song choices. All the phone lines were easy to get through to.. America may not be voting.

Rudy Cardenas: I did not agree with the judges. American Idol came back to life when Rudy took the stage. his vocals were strong, he engaged his audience, he had NO pitch problems. I liked his song choice. Randy thought his was corny, Simon thought he was not unique enough. I want to see more of Rudy.

Brandon Rogers: The camera loves Brandon, he has a great deal of charisma. Randy and Paula said he had pitch problems. Simon says he can do better then he did. The judges were all right. I like Brandon

Sundance Head: It may have been nerves but he was pitchy throughout and had a lackluster performance. If you recall Simon had said after his audition that he blew Taylor Hicks out of the water. Sundance sank tonight. Sundance maybe packing his bags.

Paul Kim: For heaven sakes do not attempt to use your falsetto voice again, and please put your shoes back on. Randy still thinks he has potential, Paula thinks he oversang the song.Simon was not wowed by Paul tonight. Ryan takes off his shoes to show his support.

Chris Richardson: I love his personality and his stage presence.Chris was the most articulate contestant, but this is a singing competition. I actually agreed with Simon. The girls will love him. Simon said his voice sounded small. I like Chris, and voted for Chris, but I think Chris needs to find something that sets him apart

Nick Pedro: He is a big favorite of mine, but he was a nervous wreck and it showed in his performance. His posture was awful, his body language yelled get me off this stage. Paula and Randy wondered where Nick went. Simon did not think he was so bad. Nick shake those nerves and you will be a shining star.

Blake Lewis: There were pitch problems as Randy pointed out,Paula was proud of him, Simon thought at last someone was in the year 2007. I really like Blake and he is unique. He will be back!!!!

Sanjaya Malakar: may be our first casuality of the competition. His performance was extremely dull and his vocals were forgettable. America votes for the underdog though, but this seventeen year old is no chicken little.

Chris Sligh: I was really looking foward to hearing Chris sing even before he stepped on stage. Randy loved him even though he was ahead of the beat on the chorus. Paula liked his song choice. Simon thought he was at a weird student gig. Well this apparently ticked off Chris and he just had to insult Simon right back. Just incase you were scratching your head about the Teletubbies remark.. Simon was responsible for taking the Teletubbies from TV to the airwaves earlier in his career... He released the hit album " Teletubbies Christmas" Simon was really pissed. It may have been to early to insult Simon. Regardless I am a Chris fan so hence he gets

Jared Cotter:Randy thought he was pretty good. Paula thought he was un-adventourous. Simon thought he was Nasally , but looked good. I am on the fence about Jared.

AJ Tabaldo: I agree with Randy, AJ is very good vocally , there is no doubt that he is one of the better singers.Simon thought he was good , but nothing great , and said it was a theme park performance. AJ does need to kick it up a notch.

Phil Stacy: They did save the best for last. Randy said he had the best vocal of the night.Paula and Simon both thought he had problems initially , but opened up and got it in the end. Simon does not think he is as good as Chris Daughtry though. Phil you made me say wow, but I just could not stop staring at those ears of yours.
