This is a forum we, discuss isssues and state our opinions,whether we agree or disagree with the poster.

I must have missed something.I saw where it said blog not debate.I shared part of My experience and was told by Dovetreasure what I think and feel.No one on this list knows Me personally but are quick to judge.If I was into debates I would have signed up for one.

Well then becareful when you post on a forum ,because someone might just respond to what you write,and they may not always agree with you, and no we dont know you personally ,but you have stated some pretty strong opinions about women that I seriously disagree with.

I not worth the effort.I described what I experenced.Everyone I know who has went to Russia feels the same way.I did not appreciate Dove treasure telling Me "what was important to me".Some research into Russian culture would help them to understand what I have described.

Dovetreasure, apparently you misunderstood what I was saying, or I didnt explain myself quite as literally as I should have. You are entitled to your opinion as I am mine. I was not condemning All american women, nor did I think that they should be submissive, those are your words not mine. Ihave a high respect for women in the US, they have done alot of great things. I was only referring to the women that I have met. The women that have brains and can hold an intelligent conversation are either a) taken, b) dont want to be in a relationship or I just have not found the right place to find them. If you have any suggestions feel free. I dont go to bars to meet women, and I certainly treat them with respect. I apparently take them at face value for who they are, then let them show their true colors. A reality check , yes I know everyone has baggage, but if you cant move beyond that and look forward then your baggage is overwhelming. I can deal with some and expect it, I am not a previous boyfriend, husband or significant other that gave you that baggage in the first place, nor do I have any of those traits, if there is something I do that is annoying I expect an honest answer. I have dealt with womens organizations for abuse for the last 30 years, Ihave referred many women and I have an excellent reporte with them. I apologize if you misunderstood my meaning, but there is no reason to attack anyone for simply making a statement.

No matter what, mixed culture marriages can be very hard. They are not easy on either party. What they consider normal, we don't and what we consider normal they don't. I am not saying all cultures are the same way, but they do present a totally different set of issues and problems. I am not saying any of this to start stuff, just speaking from my experience's with my soon to be ex, who is not from the USA.

Along with your desciption of Russia,you expressed what you like about Russian women over American women,agreeing that all american women are wacked,I disagree with your assertion.
I do agree with your depection of Russian women,descibing them as willing to stay in a bad marriage and more likely to put up with abuse,this additude is typically prevalent in societies where women have second class citizen status,and not a happy healthy life for the women trapped in this culture.
Why do you think so many want to come to America ?
To escape this unfulfilling existance.

Well even though you directed that post at Ken, I'm going to respond to it anyway. After all, this is a public forum. Tip: Whenever you post anything in a forum, you are asking for an argument or some other type of response to your post (especially if it's a radical view). That's what the forums are for.  Anyone is allowed to post here, even if you are the one that created it. If you want to express an opinion but do not want feedback, then your blog is a good place to do that. That's where you can control who can comment and who cannot.
Exnewyorker please don't take it personally when someone disagrees with you. It doesn't necessarily mean they don't like you, or that they don't respect your opinion; they are just putting in their two cents - just like you did.  We welcome a difference of opinion here.  It's actually a nice thing when two people will take the time to debate, when they don't see eye to eye on something. It's a good way to see things from other people's points of view.
I realize you've had some good experiences with Russian women. I believe you when you say that there are genuine Russian women out there, but please forgive the rest of us if it is a little harder for us to 'see the light' when we are being constantly bombarded with e-mail scams from Russian men and women. 
As for whether the role of a woman being subservient to a man is the better way or not - maybe that is a matter of culture, or maybe a matter of a nation's economic disposition. I can't speak for the way it should be in Russia, because I'm not familiar with that culture. However, my personal belief is that, at least, in America, and countries like America, culturally, there is no excuse for any inequality between men and women in this modern day and age. I believe there is a reason we left that dark era behind us. It didn't work out too well, at least not from a moral stand point.

exnewyorker we are a friendly bunch here but when I see either a man or woman make a statement that is so degrading to a particular gender I take issue with it and have to express my opinion. You are obviously seeking a woman that is subservient rather then a equal partner. There are women out there of course that would not mind playing that role at all for you.:Lets see there are about 100,413,484 females that you potentially could chose as a partner in the United States( this is a estimate). I am guessing that American women are far to progressive in their thinking for you. We all of course have our personal preferences in who is best suited for us. I simply cant help but be appalled when I see I see such backwards thinking exist in 2007.
PS.. Keep in mind that when Russian women when exposed to this culture will assimilate into our social climate and will not be that little obedient wife you were hoping for.
Kenn...luv you sweet hubby for your progressive thinking and intelligence.

Yes my friend they are all whacked! We are all whacked in some way or another. The game is flawed and the pool long since depleated... the only thing you should have respect for is Pizza and BEER!!! They always remain true to ya.
You aint gotta go to Russia to get a chick dude, most of em just bail when they become legal ... just forget the whole love thing and just be happy with a good friend, marriage is not all it's cracked up to be and with any real luck your special friend just might end up with you forever. You only need to remember one rule .. no matter how drunk you get, how drugged you are out of your mind, even if you are more horny than a toad .. NEVER, sleep with a whacko chick and risk further pollution to the gene pool or your solitude, it's already quite tainted from what I've seen. Just watch the movie "She Devil" or talkshow "The View" a few times and viola! you will be cured.
