lol...you didn't read her message I gather? She is on a cruise and will be back tomorrow...lol
Our lovely Matchdoctor Family has been strangely quiet lately.. I miss all of you!!! I will be floating at Sea starting tomorrow and will be back on land on Monday. I am excited and nervous at the same time. There has been too many mishaps on cruise ships of late. People falling over-board, strange illnesses, bomb scares, odd disappearances. I am staying far away from railings, and will not talk to strangers (which is hard for me). I am going to try to have lots of rest , relaxation, breathe in the sea air and tropical breezes. i tink she gets in around noon tomorrow...so should be back posting soon after that...i know she'll appreciate hvaing been missed over the weekend...but am also sure she's totally enjoying the cruise...she was VERY excited about it beforehand

Port Everglades?!!  So that explains, while I was at Lauderdale beach, some person in the distance waving excitedly at me from some far off boat in the ocean.

Well, Lets all HOPE that Dove WASNT on that Greek cruise ship that hit some rocks and sank!
But according to the news reports all but 2 french people (missing status unknown)was saved so IF she was on it she would have one heck of a story to tell us!

I am ever so flattered that I was missed. I had no idea about the greek cruise ship until I got back today.. I guess they do not like to share that stuff while you are at Sea.
Yes Jack I did cruise right out of and into Port Canaveral. I sailed on Carnival cruise lines on the MS Elation. The weather was spectacular. I had a ocean view room for the first time, which was very cool. I did not get sea sick , though there was a brief funky moment the first night. The entertainment was fantastic, I ate too much, I want to marry the ships captain , he was really funny and had this sexy Italian accent. I swam with the dolphins in Freeport, which was AWESOME! I drank tropical drinks with little paper umbrellas. I participated in just about every activity on the ship that was available. I did not gamble at all.. which was hard to resist at time. I cried when it was time to disembark, I asked my room stewart if I could hide in his room and be a stowaway. He just smiled alot and said" see you next time" I miss my towel animals already.. I suppose I have to cook my own dinner tonight and there will be no chocolate on my pillow at bedtime. Sigh!!!!

I have not been in years, but used to cruse a lot.. last time was out of port everglades, and my lady at the time was the sec. to the head of passenger development for the port, he had a LOT of say in what and where for the ships..
and of course we didn't get special treatment 
but it was a
HELL of a cruse....

I have mentioned it to Witchie already to get her thoughts and imput.. but I am seriously considering organizing a singles cruise down the road. We could obtain a group rate if we get enough interest. Witchie being all wise and knowing made a very good point.. Anyone who may have an interest in participating in a venture like this will need to get a passport. So my dear MD family how about a funfilled cruise at sea ? If this sounds like something you would like to do , the first step would be to get that passport. I can do some research and post this far enough in advance to allow everyone time to save for this. My friends in the panhandle have done two of these before. You do not need to pay all of the money upfront, but it can be paid over time. The best time to go would of course be after hurricane season and off peak times.
I had a wonderful time with my daughter , but kept thinking how much more fun would it be with some good friends along too.

Your idea of a match doctor cruise sounds great! Good thing I already have my passport! Dove, you sounded like you had a wonderful time.  I'm glad you did.
...but sorry... we had to bribe the room steward not to stow you away cause we missed you and wanted you back here!

I would be interested, but depending on when I don't know if I would be able to make it. Depends on the job front honestly. I am going to put in to get my passport. According to the website, it is taking up to 12 weeks to get one.

same here Jack, I even have a blog whining about it....lol from what I can find out it is 96.00 if you want it rushed.....3 - 4 weeks.....add about 100 to it

I am going to put in to get my passport too. My expired sometime in 1984 and was never used! I just hope I dont break the camera when I get my passport pics taken at kinkos!
