I always get blamed for other peoples quotes

I seem to some what frequently get emails with people mad at me because of something I said on a thread.
When they tell me what I said ,I always think I wouldn't say that ,then always after futher investigation it is always a QUOTE from someone else on that same thread that I am replying to.
Often I will have a Quote from someone on the same thread ,and then Reply below it ,meaning this is my response to what that person said.
Im not sure why so many people miss this.

Any Idea how I can make this clearer to people ?
Maybe I should get that yellow box thing that I see some people use which represents a quote .
Do I need some kind of software for this?

when you do the quote, you can also write in the person's name: [quote=kenn] (of course you still need to have the "/quote" closer at the end)

the quote feature makes replies much less confusing. have fun with your new skill.

Ken, it's pretty clear to me when you are quoting someone else. I can't think of a more clearer method than the one you use. That's probably why I'm using it now. What baffles me is how some people can get the meanings of the words "Quote" and "Reply" mixed up. However, I guess some people have to see the little yellow box around the words to the message.

Kenn159 has a mental illness because he talks about himself in the second person.

I was pulling at Kenn159's leg! I'll take anything I can get. I would only go out of my way to blame him for someone else's quotation when he had just told everyone he keeps getting blamed for other people's quotes if I was trying to get a laugh by pretending to blame him again for someone else's quote.

I have a sense of humor, but I've always felt that many jokes are funniest when told straight-faced. The problem is some people miss the jokes. This is unintentional, as there is no humor if I am the only one laughing at my jokes.

One of my favorite stand-up comedians is Steven Wright. You may have seen him on a few television shows. He has formulated his entire personality around this.

I also like the classic comic teams like Bob & Ray and Abbott & Costello.

I once posted a four-word message: "This statement is false." Two or three of my friends wrote back, "Why is it false?" At first glance, they didn't notice the paradox because they weren't paying attention. Some people don't. Sometimes I don't pay attention. It happens.

By the way, did Kenn159 write that quote after all or was he quoting someone else?

Now, I'm sure he didn't write it!

For those of you who enjoy a laugh, here are 10 Steven Wright one-liners:

1. "If you shoot at mimes, should you use a silencer?"

2. "I bought some batteries, but they weren't included."

3. "Last night somebody broke into my apartment and replaced everything with exact duplicates. When I pointed it out to my roommate, he said, 'Do I know you?'"

4. "I used to work in a fire hydrant factory. You couldn't park anywhere near the place."

5. "If I melt dry ice, can I swim without getting wet?"`

6. "Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died."

7. "I kept a diary of my birth. It said, 'Day one, still tired from the move.' 'Day two, everybody talks to me like I'm an idiot.'"

8. "I installed a skylight in my apartment. The people who live above me are furious!"

These were abducted from the Quotations Page.

Here are two more, but they are from my memory and probably not exact quotations:

9. I remember being upset at my second birthday: I figured, in one year, my age doubled. If this keeps up, in six years, I'll be ninety.

10. My friend called and asked me if I slept well. I said, "No, I made a few mistakes."

I find it interesting that you have so much time on your hands ,that you fill your time amost obsessively dwelling to the point I think you are anal retentive, and you dweel on the most trival matters of people like myself.

You sent me four almost stalker emails relating to my Impeach Bush Iraq war blog which I copied and pasted then posted the article for topic of conversation on this forum.
I never said I wrote the article and after you notified me that the author wasn't listed ,you search and found it ,then as a courtesy to you and trying to be a nice guy ,I posted the author ,then you just kept going on complaining about several other things that made you mad including the fact that you wanted me to post on the thread to give you credit because you found the author of the article that I never said that I even wrote.

I think it is clear from several post including the one when you went into a tyraid against Dove in a topic about Movies that ,you are a very wierd dude.

this happens to me a lot ...... my humor is twisted i guess because ::

The people who live above me are furious!"

i didnt laugh ...... and the battery one ,,,, i dont get ............. at all

Neither did I, but I think I get the battery thing: Often, you see a commercial where some child's electronic toy, or some really neat gadget, is advertised, and then you see a disclaimer somewhere "Batteries Not Included." However, if batteries are what you are buying, and they are not included... then what's left...

If I melt dry ice, can I swim without getting wet?

I once stepped on a teeny piece of dry ice and it hurts like hell.

Why is it everytime I read something by Lovesoldier I somehow imagine someone not unlike the poor demented soul that snuffed out the lives of all the students and teachers at Virginia Tech. I know this may be an extreme example , but this is one very miserable and bizarre guy.

Ironically, you people are way too serious for me.

I do one joke at Kenn159 and you people start slamming me as a "stalker," "anal retentive," and "one very miserable and bizarre guy."

I even made sure Kenn159 knew it was a joke so he wouldn't be offended, and maybe you all would share some of my humor, from which you have clarified how very little you would willingly share with me; thanks a lot. I'm still trying to figure out if Kenn159 understood the joke. You guys must really hate me.

Clearly, superficiality consumes society.

I appreciate how you would concern yourself with the value of my time. I wonder what will come from it.

Good luck figuring out why "I bought some batteries, but they weren't included" is funny.

By the way, the "poor demented soul that snuffed out the lives of all the students and teachers at Virginia Tech" is my polar opposite, but I doubt you care, since making the statement supplies your hostility. Maybe I'm not the one with the problem.
