Just thought I'd introduce myself I'm a new Floridian. Just moved to Panama City last month. I am inbetween employment, not long out of college. So I've been looking for ways to kill my boredom. I'm interested in making new friends, its not as easy as it was in my youth. I'm a music buff, love the ocean, I am a practicing sun worshiper So, if you'd like to chat or whatever, hit me up! See ya around

Oh trust me, Dove and I both know how it is. Depending on where you are from, FL takes a little getting use too. I know when I first moved here from Jersey, I had issues with the pace of things. I was so use to things being very fast and people talking 100 miles an hour, it took me some time to slow myself down....I still talk to fast at times though...lol

....I still talk to fast at times though...lol Really!! I never noticed that since you always are the quiet one that ducks her head whenever a camera is pointed at you Wichie!
Welcome Labyrinth! Good luck in your job search but I would recommend working at a temp agency for awhile until you can find a 'regular' job with a fixed schedule! It helps in the job search and you also gain valuable experience as well!

I would recommend working at a temp agency for awhile until you can find a 'regular' job You know, that's a funny thing. I had one tell me today that because of a time gap in employment (laid off, then took care of my grandmother for 8 mos) they can't "help" me. Pretty heinous, huh?

fuchia04: I'm from Virginia, and I just stumbled upon this forum really. I'm finding that people in Florida tend to be a lot more friendly than what I'm used to.
jfreak68: I'm finding out how addictive it can really be.
Thank you all for the welcomes!!!!!!

A plate of warm chocolate chip cookies is extended to welcome Labyrinth from the Le Match Doctor Villiage Cafe chef and the members of the Match Doctor Villiage. ( Oops, I forgot to tell you guys that the cafe was open. I guess that would explain why the place is always so empty, ME BAD, LOL)
Welcome to Florida and to the forum Labyrinth.
The forum here is great. As jfreak says................Addictive.

Pity that ONE out of the many temp agencies here in Florida couldnt help you out Labyrinth but dont let that one rejection get you down and just knock on another agency's door.

Welcome to Florida....I have been here for almost 3 yrs. and came from Michigan. The hardest thing for me to get used to is the weather, but I am finally able to go outside for more than a few minutes in the heat! I go out early and stay inside during the middle of the day, unless I am in the pool, then back outside in the evening. Also, no snow, ever! Where I live (by the gulf) we have alot of RV parks here and in the winter the traffic is horrible, but now that the snowbirds are gone, it is pretty much back to normal. Hope you enjoy it here in sunny Florida....
