So what is everyone doing this weekend? I can't believe it's Saturday and I'm sitting in my office, met with a client earlier today. Hopefully I can catch up on my paperwork and make it home at a reasonable hour. Was thinking of going to the beach tomorrow but alas, it looks like rain. Doesn't that stink, guess I'll have to gain fulfillment performing household chores and laundry. Bachelorhood is so grand at times!

Saturday, I'm in the library watching Doctor Who's "school reunion" on mytube and getting a tear in the eye as I watch K-9 "die" saving the doctor and the rest of the good guys. As well as bouncing between windows on hotmail, ebay, matchdoctor and amazon. Tomorrow I'll be doing laundry and getting ready to go back to daily labor on monday.

I was never a huge fan of Dr. Who. Curiously, someone who I recently dated was utterly absorbed by Dr. Who and Star Trek. Surprisingly it was a woman in her early thirties when I asked about entertainment choices she commented that she owned the complete Dr. Who and Star Trek, every single series and episode on DVD. Knew I was in for some trouble! Envisioned myself being attired as a Klingon warrior.

I know where it's at.Majority of my family came from Woodbridge and Perth Amboy before moving to central Pennsylvania. My grandfather worked for fifty-two years on the Elizabeth docks rising to the position of senior vice president of operations for a large copper producing corporation. Still have some nieces and nephews in central NJ, the remainder are either here in South Florida or living near Tinton Falls, NJ. I have fond memories of NJ, especially the shore where my family operated a seasonal business in Pt. Pleasant. I still get those cravings for White Castles so if your ever back up north and heading south please let me know.

Just as an after thought, do you recall Floyd Vavino, fame of Good Morning Vietnam as a local TV personality in northern NJ.

lol...I moved out of Kearny in 82 or 83 (blonde moment here) to Neptune City...I worked on a horse breeding farm in Colt's Neck. Two of my uncles lived in Pt. Pleasant and one lives in Brick. My mom is from Manasquan...so I know the shore very well...lol

Crystals is owned by the same company as White Castle, so that kind of takes care of that craving. What I really get cravings for is a REAL Italian Sausage Sandwich down at Seaside Heights boardwalk, fresh squeezed lemonade and real hard rolls...lol

I don't really remember the Uncle Floyd show, but have lots of memories of listening to Dr. Demento every Sunday night on AM radio...lol

Craig, I swear, it sounds like you may have met my sister. She's a big fan of Doctor Who and she is so into Star Trek it's not even funny.

For some reason, she used to like to watch Doctor Who in the dark.

I worked in one of my many flower gardens today, and went shopping. Since today is now Sunday, I will be going to the Animal Planet expo. Looking forward to that. It is in Clearwater. I also hope to work in my gardens some more and of course do laundry and the rest of the drudge stuff.

But you do remember that there was a Uncle Floyd Show, earns major NJ points!.. I loved him as a adolescent broadcasting live from a minuscule UHF station in East Orange, NJ., channel 68 before the advent of cable television.

I also listened to Dr. Demento as a teenager, can still remember all the crazy lyrics from the songs he used to play. NJ had some great radio back then, Scott Muni on WNEW-FM, Cousin Brucie on WABC, WCBS-FM playing the oldies, Imus and up and coming shock jock Howard Stern before he became totally outrageous. Can still recall the day MTV made it's debut with "Video Killed the Radio Star" .. it was groundbreaking back then.

I used to sneak into into the city to see the Ramones perform at CBGB's, my parents would have a heart attack if they knew.

Today:
Went with my sister to Bushnell today and did some house cleaning.
Tried to figure out how to build a website.

Tomorrow:
Going to the nursing home with my sisters to spend father's day with my step dad. Do laundry.
Spend more time trying to figure out the website thing.

Klingon Mind bender or something to that effect...lol

Outlaw's Klingon Mind Shifter. LOL You have Outlaw pegged right Witchie

I still get those cravings for White Castles

OOooooo, I haven't had a White Castle in soooo long. I was born and partially raised in Chicago. Haven't seen a White Castle in ages. Yeah Krystals is a good substitute. Makes me want one right now, but the nearest Krystals that I know of is in Orlando.

Dr. Who???????? Never heard of the show. I lived a sheltered life I guess. lol

I loved those hamburgers. We used to have a White Castle stand a mile from my house, but they closed it, when they built the Hard Rock Casino.

As for what I did for the weekend/will be doing for what's left of it...

Running errands for my dad and basically just sitting at home.

Craig that website did bring back memories. I feel so old I remember my first transitor radio, it was AM only. FM was already around of course, but my little rinky dink radio was cheaper. I loved that radio. I thought it was so cool at the time.

I was close...lol

let's see, today I spent part of it cleaning for an open house and part of it in the park with my aunt. That is NOT something I will be doing again anytime soon. The women could try the patience of a saint!! Add to that my air is broken in my car, so not only did she whine cause she had to leave the house, but whined all the time about how hot it was, the sunlight is making her weak (it was dappled sunlight) and that she didn't like my car.

Ok, I'm done whining now....lol

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Oh and to you Dad's out there....hope you had a Wonderful Father's Day!!
