I can readily think of a few, most memorable was John Bongiovi, John Bon Jovi spent nearly an entire summer hanging around him and his friends in NJ during the summer of 1982-83. Ritchie Sambora was John's bassist frequently attended their gigs at clubs along the NJ Shore.

Bruce Springsteen summer of 1979 at the Jersey Shore with Steven Vandt Santdt, of Sopranos fame and his band the Asbury Jukes.

Folk singer and troubadour Harry Chapin, tragically killed in an auto accident in 1981. Had the privilege of meeting Harry and his bassist John Wallace several weeks before his death.

The GoGo's and Belinda Carlie, was a agent who booked them to a club in NJ in 1984.

Joe Pecsi, had the chance meeting one afternoon at an Italian resturant on Singer Island, FL.

Bert Reynolds, favorite of South Florida and a native of Jupiter. Saw him many times at a local restaurant, never met a more consummate gentleman, always willing to speak with fans and sign autographs.

Billy Powell, keyboardist for Lynyrd Skynyrd. Was aboard a fishing charter with Billy at Sailfish Marina, Palm Beach Shores, FL. He was alone my wife and I invited him to dinner, absolute wealth of knowledge and down home gentleman.

Toby Keith, met his shortly after a concert at the South Florida fairgrounds, his band was staying at a hotel nearby. Asked where they could find some dinner and a place to hang out for the evening. Gave him a spot and spent the remainder of the evening reminiscing about family and friends. Great unabashed personality.

I use to work at Home Shopping so I have met a few....but in my younger days...I met:

Jon Bonjovi, during the filming of the video for "Runaway" in Keansburg
Springstein at the Stone Pony, in Asbury Park. Lived a mile or so away and use to hang out there and Mrs J's (biker bar)

Bam Bam Bigalow, his brother went to AA with my ex, so would see him at times after meetings and went to his house for a BBQ.

Alex Webster (Giants Football Coach) He was my uncle's best friend and my cousin's god father. Use to go up to NY to the football camp and spend the day watching the players and got to eat breakfast and lunch with the players.

Don Mclean...was a friends cousin and met him a couple times in the late 70's.

Dee Snyder (Twisted Sister)...they use to play at the Arlington Lounge and he would hang out drinking at times afterwards with us. Before they were popular...and yes he was just as nuts then...lol

If animal Stars count...I got to pet Secretariat and Niatross, I was a groom at the Meadowlands and had a horse that won in the race right after their race.

Most of the famous people I've met were musicians.

When I was 14 or 15, I met the musical group The Rascals when they stayed at the Newport Hotel on Miami Beach.

Tiny Tim introduced my band when we played at a Hotel in Downtown Miami for the CYO Catholic Youth Organization. Probably 1968.

Back in the early 70's Ted Nugent was performing in South Florida a few times a year. I met him when his group played a special concert at the dance hall my band often gigged at. A year or so later I was in another band that opened an outdoor concert for Nugent at FAU (Florida Atlantic University) campus in Boca Raton.

2 years ago, the Seminole Hard Rock Casino was having a big event. Steven Tyler (Aerosmith) and Ritchie Sambora (Bon Jovi) were passing through the casino. I said hello and they acknowledged, but most of the entourage was security, so I couldn't strike up a conversation.

I'm sure there were more...

"Runaway" was filmed in Atlantic City, never met Bam Bam Bigalow..knew he was a NJ native didn't he have a gym somewhere near Red Bank?

Keansburg, my goodness.. only place you could take a date with twenty dollars, years ago, have a great time and leave with some change, the blacktop boardwalk!

Circa 1985; Spent one afternoon guzzling beers at the German Beer Garden, stuffing myself with sausage, peppers and onions and had a forty-five minute bike ride home along route 35.

Had a State Trooper pull beside me, pulled down the face shield to my helmet and hoped he didn't see I was #faced.

Hummmm now I am going to have to make a phone call....for some reason I thought it was Runaway....getting old...lol There were a bunch of us there so, I'll just have to pick some brains...lol Off hand I can't even remember what year it was.

He lived in Asbury Park when I met him, but I think you are right about the gym, it was either Red Bank or Long Branch.

I lived there for about 6 months before moving to Neptune City...I had friends that lived a couple of years before I moved there. The boardwalk was fun and then you had Keno too.

Ok, seeing you know the area, how about the races in what was called "Wall Stadium" and Englishtown. Loved the flea market there too...lol

I know Englishtown market and the speedway .. spent many days there. Tracking through the mud at Christmas time finding bargins in the stinking cold and watching the races in hot summer.

Remember long ago when girls wore body suits as tops, late seventies and early eighties. We would stuff our girlfriends tops with beer since they would never search women for bottles, how sexist!

I'm so ashamed of myself .. hehe

If I could I would have one of my own, not drooling over ones on the road. I use to have a 73 Mach I....like you I wish I still had it!

68' Camaro

I would take a 68 or 69 in a heartbeat. I want to get one as a project car...As long as it isn't a rust bucket can rebuild it over time. I wouldn't mind a Judge either...lol

You have an excellent taste for vintage muscle cars. It's very refreshing and I'm impressed by your knowledge.

Well I worked in a body shop back in 79 for a bit until I moved down the shore. Started out in the office, but ended up learning how to wet sand and stuff. My boss at the time, had a 68 Camaro as a pro-street class. Would go to the track up in Rockaway every weekend. Plus, all my guy friends had muscle cars.

Me (a person who is totally not into sports...lol) met four Saints football players on a golf course, at the age of 14'ish. These days, I only remember one of the names of the players (Ricky Jackson). His jersey number at the time was 57 (he probably doesn't play now). That year, the Saints made it into the playoffs and won!

The only reason I even met them was because my brother and his friend were too shy to go up to the golfing Saints players and ask for their autographs, so they begged me to.

Met a bunch during my daughters acting career, and some on my own.

I get to spend an entire afternnon hanging out with Phyllis Diller and her daughter at the Waldorf Astoria in NY. She was appearing at a fund raiser my mothers Organization was holding. I was pretty young at the time and only recall that she had pretty funny hair , she kept giving me candy.

I met Robert Kennedy when he was campaigning for New York Attorney General , I got to shake his hand and he gave me one of his campaign buttons.

Met Billy Joel and Ace Frehley through my first long term BF he was friends of both and a musician himself.

We met Barbara Eden and Patrick Macknee , my daughter did a Christmas Special with her and others."The Magic of Christmas" From Universal Studios Hollywood and Florida, Mel Torme, in his last performance, highlights this yuletide celebration. He is joined by other celebrities such as Barbara Eden and Crystal Gayle who delight us with their favorite Christmas songs from Universal's backlot. Plus, the great storyteller Patrick MacNee enraptures us with his reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. The multi-talented Paul Sorvino and his multi-octave range, sings two holiday favorites. The great Harry Blackstone performs magic, and for those interested in the movies, we see a glimpse of Universal Studios in Florida with Fred Travalina

Tom Hanks , my daughter had a small role in the Mini Series from Earth to the moon. Tom Hanks directed her segment.

Danny Devito and Rhea Perlman , my daughter was performing in the Barney Celebration at Universal Studios. They were back stage and met the kids in the show.

Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson my daughter appeared with them during a promotion for the film Goodburger at the Motown Cafe in NYC.

Kelsey Grammer my daughter and I met him on the set of The film 15 minutes in Battery Park in NY. My daughter asked him for his autograph and he asked her hers. The film was shot in 1999 but was not released till 2001.

Regis Philbin and Kathy Lee Gifford. They were taping their show at the Grand Floridian Resort at Disney . My Daughter presented Mickey Mouse with a birthday card during the show.

Mandy Moore.. Mandy attended acting classes with my daughter and they appeared on stage together in a few local theatre productions.

Kirsten Storms.. Appeared in the Barney Celebration with my daughter as well as commercials for Nickelodeon, Kirsten is played the role of Belle Black on the Days of our lives.I think she is on General Hospital now. She also starred Disney Channel's original movie, "Zenon; Girl of the 21st Century." Kirstens mom is teaching at a local acting school in Orlando, Her dad use to be a Sportscaster here in Orlando.

I met Donna Summers at Universal studios during Mardi Gras we shared some ladies talk in a rest room back stage.

I Met Sherman Hemsley( George Jefferson) while he was on break while shooting a commerical at Universal Studios.

I met Burt Reynolds during a Aids benefit called Voices. My daughter performed We are the world with a childrens chorus at the finale of the show.

There are others but Im way to sleepy to remember them all.

When we were little my sisters and I met Wayne Newton. He was in front of us at the airport. We got to say hi and shake hands with him.

I accidently bumped into Donny Osmond at the Outlet Mall in Orlando in 86. He was going to the one record shop to sign autographs to promote his new cd. I was in a hurry and wasn't watching where I was going. We briefly chatted as we walked to the store where I got his new cd and got him to sign it along with another appology from me for bumping into him.

When I was working at Epcot, Dolly Parton had a press conference at the restuarant I was working at. I got elected to take her a pitcher of water to her. After it was over, she came back and introduce herself to us individually. She asked our names and if we were married and if we had kids. Asked what their names and ages were, where we were from and so on. She's a really sweet lady.

In Mississippi, the naval base would have open house where you could go tour the naval ships that were docked there. I took my son, my daughter and her boyfriend to the one open house and we got to talk with Tent Lott when he was still the senator. He posed for some pictures with my son, my daughter and her boyfriend.
