I don't know if we have done this one before, but I thought I would ask it anyway. While doing some soul searching, I really got to thinking what I REALLY want to do with my life at this point. I hate working in an office, do not want to go back to that and really miss working with animals. I use to have dreams of what I wanted to do with my life, but have strayed really far from them over the years. I decided to do some research and work on some grant proposals to see if maybe I can get that dream back.
So, it got me thinking. If money was not an object at all, what is the one thing you would do that would make you feel that your life was on track?

Well as we all know I do the work that makes me happy. I do not make the greatest money but it is what I was born to do. Now if I could only find the man that completes me I would be doing good. Not that I am not doing well because this is the best I have ever felt. Now all that needs to happen is all this drama going on in my life needs to leave and never return.....

Ok, as of right now unless plans change...with my wonderful dysfunctional family you never know....I will be out there maybe Saturday evening for dinner, but have to come back because of my aunt. My mom is trying to make arrangements with the nurse for Saturday.
Then I will be out there again on July 10th or 11th, come back here on the 13th...then back out there 16th thru 20th.
Now when I am out there in July, I will have the nights free as soon as my sister and brother in law get out of work. I get to play nanny and take care of my niece while they are at work. I will only be about 10 minutes away from Dove, so maybe on the 13th if Dove isn't working that night we can all meet up.
Now Outlaw, in answer to your question....June 30th I am stuck here, Aug, no clue right now.

I never fully developed a career path after high school, for me it was the military and college. It mattered more that I was working and providing for a household. I've been employed as a firefighter, a systems administrator/programmer, a food and beverage manager, a marina Dockmaster and most recently ad marketing and Internet sales. I never had a particular dream job.
What mattered was the ability to provide. While money or financial security has never meant happiness personally, if anything it been complacency. I fond of saying; Life is what you make it. My happiest and most satisfying moments in life comparatively is when I've been at my poorest but it's so stinking hard sometimes getting by especially in south Florida due to the excessive cost of living. This is especially true for those transitioning from two salary households due to divorce. I'm honestly amazed that anyone can do it.
Regarding regaining a sense of being on the right track; it's a tough question to answer. Perhaps a more fitting response would be regaining a sense or normalcey. Bachelorhood is somewhat new and candidly uncomfortabe especially after ending a relationship that lasted nearly twenty years. I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams that I would be starting over again. I just started dating again, it's a strange feeling. I'm sure in time it will get easier. Maybe by then I will feel as if I'm back on the proverbial track.

I never fully developed a career path after high school, for me it was the military and college. See I don't have a career path, I have a dream that I have always wanted to do. Part of it stems from where in NJ I grew up. I have always wanted to have a small working farm/day camp for inner city kids. I want to be able to let kids see a real cow, milk a cow, ride a horse, collect eggs, go fishing...stuff they will not get to do in the city. Get them away from the city for a day. I remember having friends that never had seen a cow or touched a horse. I was lucky, I went to MN for a summer and spent it on a farm, I went to riding school when I was in my teens. So see it is not something I want to do for money, it is something I have always wanted to do from the heart.

Its going to be really tough for me to plan anything on the weekends this summer. We already submitted our calendar for July and I am going to be off on July 6th and 7th since I have company coming and we are going to the American Idol concert on July 7th. My job at Universal requires me to work one hour past park closing which means I will work till 11 PM in July. Makes going out after difficult. E Angel is coming to visit on June 29th but in all liklihood I will not get to spend any time with her till July 3rd. She may stay at Linda's the first couple of days.
If money were no object... I would pursue some type of career in the theatre. Of course not on the stage even though it was something I once yearned for . I love theatre and its an important part of my life. I am very excited that Orlando will be getting a new Performing Art Center. I would very much like to be part of that facility , even if it means as a volunteer.
I would also love to realize my dream to own a cabin in the Mountains in North Carolina..I would be so happy if this ever came true.

Well, I am happy, so I feel that my life is already on track. However, I do have things that I want to do in my life. I'd like to travel to Asia or Europe at least once in my lifetime and I have a goal to have visited all fifty states, at least one time in my lifetime.
For a living I like what I do, even though the amount of money I make doing is sporadic and not nearly enough.
I like to create fictitious worlds, be it in a map, or a street level depiction of buildings, houses, and other infrastructure of the community that I conjured up. I wish I could be paid to draw the maps of the imaginary cities that I love to draw, but even though I don't get paid for that, I still like to draw them and I do.

My blue sky is living in a log cabin in the Smokey mountains away from most people. I am really getting tired of being around so many people in a big town. Too much cement, building, people, wires, advertising signs, etc.
My cabin would be small, and I would grow my food. I probably would need to become a veggie person because I don't think I would be able to kill to eat. I finally broke down and decided that I would have electricity so I could have a frig and of course my music. I am still hoping to someday realize my dream. Never give up on your dreams....to me it is the same as giving up on your life...but thats my opinion only. Dove, maybe our cabins would be within hollern distance
I also would like to travel (camping) around the great USA.

Dove, maybe our cabins would be within hollern distance Wouldent that be cool honeybear and hopefully you would be willing to give a few tips on growing my own food. I am a city girl with a country heart who unfortunately is green thumb deprived. I would have to have beautiful sunflowers growing beside my cabin.. they are my favorite flower.

Fuchia made me think of Matchdoctor village..maybe you could draw a map with all of our establishments on it. Witchie could add it to the site.

I'm working on getting back on track. Hopefully will start back to college this August. I'm still undecided as to which degree I want to finish that I had been working on a while back. It's hard to decide because I have a love for both of them. One is marine biology and the other is advertising.
When I was working on my advertising I had 1 semester to go when my son passed away. It also didn't help that my ex sabotaged the work that I had done for the one class. Back then graphic web art wasn't a really big thing, so the one semester I had to do would now take me 3 years to complete. The marine biology, I have 3 semester to finish up for an associate with 2 years to go for for the b.a..
Both of those are a far cry from what I wanted to be when I got out of high school which was an auto mechanic.
