The MatchDoctor Village Map is finished! ...well almost, but I'll get to that in a moment...
I have placed, I think, all the stores on the map. The key words here are "I think", so if I didn't, I've designed the map, so that everything has an address and you can be added later. Thus, we could perhaps use an index to list future residents. There is a lot of detail on the map that I couldn't fit all the labels comfortably on some stores, so I'll need to create one anyways to go along with the map.
Only one problem though, I need your help in naming some of the streets. One is a peaceful narrow passage where some MD Villagers live. Another is full of shops. And the third straddles MatchDoctor Village Park (and don't say Park Street because we've already got one )
lol...oh yeah, I also don't know what we should call the palm tree-lined promenade leading to King Ken's Castle (and boy that thing's huge!! ). I have a few ideas though:
Royal Promenade ? King's promenade ? Ken's Promenade ? King Ken's Promenade ?
Those are just my ideas though. But this is our village; I need your ideas, too! Which do you think is best ...or do you think it should be called something else??
One more thing. Everyone who visits MatchDoctor Village knows about our famous MatchDoctor Village Square, which, as we all know, is the focal point of the Village and has most of the shops and, of course, the Village's trademark hedgemaze in it.
HOWEVER...
About a block due North of our famed MatchDoctor Village square, however, is a much smaller square, abutted by the court house, police station, and Village Hall, respectively, on the East, West, and North sides.
What should we call this square? Again, I have a couple of ideas:
"Justice Square" "Government Square"
But what do you think? Which name do you like most, or can you think of a name you like better? As soon as I get ideas on this, the map will be done!

Oh I like Penny Lane for the shopping area.
Might the street that passes by my humble little cabin be called Garden Path? I would like to name my place Down the Garden Path. I am thinking of getting a nice garden cart to put my veggies, herbs and maybe some cut flowers to bring to market day. I will paint "Down the Garden Path" on my cart. I was thinking of having the name of one of the herbs or flowers as a street name, but really couldn't pick a favorite.
Since we may be having a Penny Lane...are we going to have a Strawberry Field?
I also like Serenity Trail, other streets could be Harmony Lane, Trinity Place, Peaceful Cove, Charity Way, Peaceful Lane...just thinking of names that would fit in our lovely, peaceful village.

You both came up with some great street names!

Oh I like Penny Lane for the shopping area. Me three!!! I think we should call it Penny Lane. Thanks Honbee, for the name.

King Ken's Promenade ?
I like that one That one does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it? I think we should use that one.
Now, for the street that straddles the Park.. I'm voting for Serenity Lane...
Or wait a minute...
Now that I think about it, I looked at the map and the street is a short straight lane, with four houses on it, lining one side of the park. However, in addition to the park, it also offers a great view of King Ken's Castle, which is perched high up on a hill, and overlooks the park.
So what do you think? Castle View Lane for that one? ...or should we go with Serenity Lane? IMHO, either one's a good name for this street.

I love all the choices so far .. I am so excited to see the results..so dear Fuchia what ever have you named the street the brothel sits on. Well, I had originally called the street Brothel Alley (Honestly, I like it). But Fantasy Row seems a fitting name as well.
Specifically, the address is #12 Brothel Alley (or #12 Fantasy Row, depending on what you all prefer).
I am going to post all the addresses of the most famous landmarks in the Village in just a little bit.
Post Edit: Well, I noticed two people had already voted for Fantasy Row (Dove and HoneyBear), so unless anyone else wishes to vote, then Fantasy Row it is!

Here are the major points of interest and their addresses (if I forgot any, please let me know):
Witchie's Bakery - 1 Bakery Street (located at MDVillage Square, where Cafe and Bakery Streets meet)
Witchie's Tattoo Shop - 2 Bakery Street (located at MDVillage Square, across from the bakery)
Le Match Doctor Cafe\Moon Light Cafe - 1 Cafe Street (located on the corner of cafe street and the bakery)
Dove's Brothel - 12 Fantasy Row (formerly 12 Brothel Alley)
Jack's Adult Store - 11 Fantasy Row (formerly 11 Brothel Alley), (Conveniently located next to the Brothel )
SouthernSol's Cobblery - 3 MatchDoctor Village Square
JFreak's Vet - 1 Main Street (Corner of Main and MatchDoctor Village Square)
Mr. Pete's Cinema - 6 Garden Street (Corner of Garden and MatchDoctor Village Square)
Police Station (presumably where Outlaw works) - 2 Station Street (on the corner of Station Street and Justice Square)
Village Town Hall (Presumably where Mysteriosa our Town Council Woman works) - 1 Village Hall Street
Court House - 1 Justice Square, Next to the Village Hall (no one works here yet, as far as I can tell )
Fuchia's Nursery - 11 Garden Street (Garden Street intersects with Garden Path where Garden Path turns North, passing in front of Honeybear's Organic Garden)
HoneyBear's Organic Garden - 12 Garden Path
MatchDoctor Village Zoo - 19 Garden Path
Meteorologist Station\Weather Center (where our resident meteorologist, Labyrinth, works) - 21 Garden Path
HoneyBear's Cabin, Down The Garden Path - 23 Garden Path
And then, of course, there's King Ken's Castle - yes, even this has an address. It is 1 King Ken's Promenade. A very prestigious address indeed!
Once the map is out, anyone is, of course, free to move to a different location in the Village, if they wish.

Fantasy Row....that is cute That is cute. It reminds me of when I was living in Charleston S.C. The one street in downtown Charleston is called Rainbow Row. All the of houses on that street are painted in bright colors. Way back when, a lot of people couldn't read so they painted the houses different colors so people would know what kind of business is in each house. The ones that are painted a really bright pink were the brothels. There used to be a lot of them way back then.

The moral majority just emailed the King[me] to inform that they will be setting up a “Abstain from sex” clinic on the side street of slippery lane near the brothel , they plan on hiding in the bushes and will be ready and willing to pounce on anyone having sex in their car,and will be ceremoniously casting them into the pits of hell if they don’t repent immediately,so John's beware.

Madam Dove happens to know that the president of the morale majority just left the brothel moments ago and he had a smile on his face.. lets just say I am sure he has had a change of heart . Just incase he has not the video I have his visit is certain to make him think twice of about his clinic.

Well let's just say the Village now has a narrow dusty trail leading from Fantasy Row called Slippery Lane.
btw... the map is scanned.. I had to scan it in four sections. Trying to merge it together, however, is proving to be problematic in the Gimp. I may have to e-mail Witchie the map in it's four sections (unless I can find another way to put it together ).
