Are you, like me, disturbed by the number of people on the site that have anger/hate/discrimination/and other anti-social issues? I have read more than one thread where the poster has asked a question or asked for advice and then verbally attack anyone who dares to give advice. Apparently these people are having some problems that would best be taken to a professional psychologist.

This pattern also comes through on some of the blogs. I am all for free speech, but to continually yell (ALL CAPS) at us, even in the opening post, seems to be a bit of overkill. Besides, ALL CAPS ARE HARDER FOR PEOPLE TO READ!

I have an idea...why not start another topic section, titled "Anger, Hate, Discrimination and Anti/Social Issues", then all these people could gather and scream at each other and not bother us!

Just my humble opinion....oh, btw...I am leaving town for a couple of weeks...so yell all you want....I can't hear you!

Whats in the water in South Florida?

I agree with much that is being said; do I have prejudices .. sure do. I don't consider myself a racist but there's something wrong in this society when you labeled such for preferring people of your own kind. Never is anything mentioned about black empowerment or the absolutely insane immigration policies this nation has. Do I consider homosexuality a normal behavior, no. Should we ship all illegals back to their nation of origin, damn right. I didn't shed my blood for this nation to allow anyone to run ramshackle over the laws enacted by legislation. I refuse to coddle the politically correct crowd and remain unapologetic.

Take three deep breaths Craig and heres my Teddy Bear to hold. There is only one kind of people in this world the "human kind" We all deserve dignity and respect if we act accordingly toward others. I love diversity , would not want this incredible country to be any other way.

Boy that's for sure! They don't like when you do silly things like slow down to do the speed limit or stop to make sure nothing else's gonna hit you while you're making a left turn.

You can say that again.

Oh and Honeybear, have a GREAT trip! Everybody seems to be traveling somewhere...including me! I'll be starting on a trip in about ten days.

So we should be one homogeneous society free from rules or morals. I guess by your standards we should accept anyone or any lifestyle, polygamists, terrorists and illegals maintaining the homogeneous view that isn't alright.

I beg to differ with you if the events of Sept. 11, 1991, 343 firefighters lost their lives that day for doing nothing more than going to their job. I have several websites containing the urgent radio calls of these firefighters as their lives where extinguished, perhaps you should listen as these true hero's took the last gasp of breath.

Maybe you should support the Latino inspired Azlan movement seeking to a annex two-thirds of the American Southwest for an ethic state. I come from German-Irish stock and we're not easily fooled or willing to give up our morals or freedom at the drop of a hat.

I faithfully served this nation for three tours in the United States Marine Corps, I'm a decorated combat veteran of three campaigns, recipient of the Purple Heart and one commendation for valour. When you can equal my credentials lets talk.

Ok, normally I stay out of these issues, but for a change I'm going to open my mouth..at least about one part.

I have to agree that illegal aliens should be deported for the most part. The only ones that I feel should be allowed to stay are the people that were brought here as children and didn't have a choice. Say you were 5 and your parents came here illegally, you didn't have a choice, you were brought up as an American, so in cases like that I feel there should be some other way of making them legal.

My grandparents on my Dad's side and my Great Grandparents on my Mother's side all came here legally, they paid their way, paid their taxes and built a legal life for themselves here. One of my best friends parents came from Poland, again legally. They also did what they had to do, paid their taxes and learned English. At home the spoke both Polish and English, but outside the home, they only spoke English as they felt to do otherwise was being disrespectful to a country they loved living in. Even my ex came here legally, he paid his taxes, again, learned English and how to read it as he also felt that by not doing so was disrespectful.

I have to see if I can find it, there was an article not that long ago I read about other countries also having the same issues. It went more into the population end of it where as a country like France will have less then I want to say it was 5% true French people in it within the next 50 years due to illegal immigration and the fact that they have less children then the different ethnic groups that are coming into the country. I really was a very interesting article.

So we should be one homogeneous society

Yes Absolutely

free from rules or morals

No, there is no correlation between immigrants and lack of rules and ethics.
If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the corporations that outsource our jobs for the lowest pay and the biggest profits, don’t blame it on the immigrants that are taken advantage of because they come from a poor unsustaining economy were it is hard to make enough money to feed their families , a situation made even worse by Nafta.
I think if you had to make a choice between your family staving to death and crossing a fence to work ,I think you would cross the fence for work.
If it was as difficult for mine and your german immmigrant families to receive citizen status when they came over on the boats as is at present, then they would have been illegal too.
Remember, “bring us your tired and your weary “, that doesn’t exist anymore.

Stop listening to AM Hate radio.

I do well in my own personal anger management by not watching the TV news. It really poisons your mind. A daily choreograph of running your emotions up and down and not the good ones either. I do my best to stay away from negative input including political news shows

Well one does have to admit that there is such a movement - albeit, at this time, it is a small niche movement. I do have to agree with Craig on the issue of illegal immigration. If we don't get some kind of handle on this problem, then the real national security threat in this country WON'T be 9/11 - unlike, what the Bush propaganda machine might have you believe, it probably never was a significant issue, with respect to immigration from Mexico and other Latin American countries.

No, the real security issue in this country will come from groups like Azlan, La Reconquista, and Mecha. Like Craig mentioned, these groups want to take territory and split off from this country. Needless to say, I have a serious problem with anyone who might come here.with the intention of dividing this country. I don't have a problem with any immigrant who comes here legally, obeys our laws, and gives their primary allegiance to this country. On my father's side, I am a fourth generation descendant of polish and Italian immigrants, and they did all of these things. I don't think it's too much to ask of anyone else wanting to come here.

There are good reasons for the immigration laws we have. If only our politicians would enforce them.

Craig, I think it's admirable that you served this country as you did. As a fellow American, I owe you an unspeakable debt of gratitude, as I believe every American does. However, I hate it when people use their service in the military as an excuse to win a political argument. I think it's arrogant. Please don't do that.

I carried a weapon, held the firing line, provided the blanket of freedom you awake to everyday. I think that came from the movie "A Few Good Men." Seriously, society has become too complacent, our fathers and grandfathers served this nation without expectation. By today's values Nazi Germany would have been allowed to conquer all of Europe and the UK. Don't even for a second think you can compare me to a Nazi, where the hell do you get off enjoying the protection that I provided.

Fuchia, I like you, I think you probably the most intelligent male in this forum but don't mistake the effects of being in combat for more than three years and having shrapnel tear through your body. I was an idealist once, wanted to become a Pastor and help other, served at soup kitchens, volunteered my time at homeless shelters and assisted veterans with chemical addictions. It changed in 1991-1992 as I saw comrades die and witnessed the carnage of 9/11. We as a nation soon forget, it can happen again tomorrow evident by the recent terrorist attacks in Great Britain.

I repeat

We all deserve dignity and respect if we act accordingly toward others.

Craig you are of course entitled to your opinion .. but you come across as a very bitter and angry man. I do however understand that you have been exposed to the atrocity of war . I could not even begin to fathom what that would be like. Life however is far to short to hold such animosity in your heart. We are a nation still healing from September 11.. I would like to think that we are above the hatred that was demonstrated that fateful day.

There will always be a target of hate; it is your choice whether or not you feed into it.
It is very much in the Business interest of those that exploit to divert your concern away from the real issue of Big Business exploitation.
You realize you are determining someone’s value on whether or not they hold possession of a piece of paper, if they have it you like them, if they don’t you despise them.
I’m. 49 and I remember the 1950’s and 60’s, and although there was prejudice against all minorities that weren’t white, the biggest target of hate was directed towards black people, and those that hate were using the same complaint about the blacks back then that they are using against the Mexicans today,” they are taking our jobs away”

You can’t fault someone for trying to provide for their family the only way the know how, the Mexican economy is corrupt and in shambles and they have to go where the work is.
Economist have researched and have determined that If you took what Mexican earn and what they spend in living expenses and purchasing power in our country, there is a overwhelming net benefit to our economy.
