I know we have lots of animal lovers among us. I have a cat named Hope. Hope adopted me in 2003. I opened up my front door and he made himself at home and has been here ever since. My daughter has two dogs a shepard mix and a doberman mix. She has two cats and a assortment of reptiles. Her newest addition to her household is a baby ball python. She just called me a few moment ago to tell me her snake has escaped. Sounds like she is going to be up most of the night.

So please share about your four legged friends or any special pet that brightens your life.

Right now all I have is Kiwi, my cockatiel. Furball my cat still hasn't been found

Now at one time I had all at the same time:

A retired race horse Charlie Thunder

A Great Dane Ohgee (my baby and by far the best dog that ever owned me)

A mutt Snuggles

A very large assortment of cats...4 adults and 7 kittens. Adults were Ghost, Fathead, Mouth and Satin

and anywhere from 10 to 20 parakeets and finches (I bred them)

Now, I have owned snakes, lizards, tons of different breeds of fish, fresh and salt water, rabbits, hamsters and all kinds of furry critters.

Presnetly I have 5 cats. Missy (4), Tawni (4), Tinker (15), Sweetie (14) and Nikki (9).

Missy, Tawni, and Tinker are my mom's, that she left behind when she moved to Texas, that I'm trying to find homes for. Anyone want one? Sweetie belongs to my daughter. I took her in back in 2003, and Nikki I adopted back in 2002.

Witchie I hope you find furball.. My kitty from the past disappeared once and was gone for weeks. She showed up in the backyard on a very rainy night scared and crying to come back home. We did never figure out how she vanished. She rarely tried to venture out.

Pets from my past New York
Turtles and lots of gold fish.
Border collie named Buttons( my first dog ever and a sweetheart)
Tommy a silver tabby cat named after the Disney movie Thomasina, and Buttons best friend.
Breeze a nearsighted collie who failed obedience school and became Tommy's best friend after Buttons died.
Sugar and Coffee two little birds cant recall what kind they were.
Florida

Magic the cat who appeared like Magic
Magic's three kittens Pepper, Patches and Oreo( found homes for Patches and Oreo)
Oliver a silky terrier who adopted us, he was a stray and had been abused, He was such a sweet soul, he died in 1999.
Nala and Simba were adopted at a pet fair . Poor Simba died after surgery and Nala had to given away she would never use the litter box.
Ace the Cockateil who was the funniest pet ever, he had quite a vocabulary and would whistle off key.
Zazu the parakeet who died while laying an egg.
Lots of Hamsters.
And now Hope who rules the roost.

Not bad bribes though.. Pets are awesome. I think about adopting a Dog quite often , but I am not home for so long on some days I would know the poor little thing would have to wait WAY to long to be walked. My friends who visited here recently brought their dog along for the visit and my cat seemed just fine with the Dog running about. My cat was actually bigger then their dog. They were both indifferent to each other. I wish I could have read my cats mind though and wonder what he thought.

do those dust things under beds count as pets? I had a dog Bow when I was a kid none now. I don't have time to care for them it wouldn't be right to do that to an animal.

I have cat named Shian (we pronounce it like Cheyenne). We call her that because when I first got her she was very shy (she still is, especially when it comes to strangers or new surroundings). For some reason she usually doesn't like to venture out of the living room, but sometimes she nervously will when she wants me to pet her.

I love cats, I'd have another one if I could. My trip up to Ohio reminded me of the joy of having two cats in the house. My sister has a couple of cats named Shanks and Zoey. I petted them everyday I was there. Shanks likes to lick you half to death. I didn't realize it but she licked my nose until it bled.

It was a pleasure - and even sometimes funny - watching Shanks and Zoey run around the house playing and chasing each other. Thank God for cats! They are awesome creatures.

Cats really can be entertaining. My cat can have moments of insanity. He will suddenly run madly around the house leaping from each peice of furniture and then attacts the front door . He has this fixation with glass. He will stand on his hind legs and paw like a boxer on the glass as if he were boxing with his reflection. He does this on the doors of my entertainment center, and a large framed picture on the wall. When I turn off the television he runs over and stares at it wondering where the image has gone. I think Hope might need some kitty therapy.

We have an inside kitty, an outside kitty (this kitty doesn't care to use the catbox), a hamster, and a bunny. I used to have a most wonderful dog, a doberman. The inside kitty likes to play tag...no kidding...she will chase and tag you and run away for you to chase her.

I have 2 dogs and 2 cats .
The dogs names are Ranger,a Labrador mix and Brendy Lou, a Boxer/Pitt/Rottwieller mix.
We found both dogs at different times abandoned in the State Forest.
With Brendy we saw a man pull up in a car, stop near the trail head, and open the door, let her out and take off.
So we called her over to us and she has been ours ever since, she only had to experience about 15 seconds of homelessness, lol.
When we got her she had a bladder infection and couldn’t hold her pee, probably why the ding bat got rid of her.
We took her to the vet and they treated her, that’s all was needed.

Ranger we found on another hike when my whole family was down with me doing a hike.
This encounter is a long amazing spiritual story; I’ll have to go into it at another date.
They are both great dogs and I wouldn’t trade them for the world.

My cats we bought from friends of Strays almost a year ago now.
They already had names, they are Tiger and Creamy.
We got Creamy she was feral and she is still pretty feral, haven’t been able to work it out of her.
Tiger is extremely high maintenance and complains most of the time that your not doing enough for him, lol.
He really like milk, and if you don't give it to him he will make you pay with hours of complaining,so then I have to bribe him with milk to stop for a while, lol.

If anyone has any ideas how to make a feral cat nonferal ,please let me know.
