The perfect someone is hard to find and even if or when you do find “that perfect mate” you don’t realize how perfect they are for you until it’s over, then you say to yourself-“ oh they were so perfect!” This is my experience-now every morning I wake up and I want to bang my head against the wall for not realizing it sooner. 
People with a laundry list never find perfection just frustration.
The right person is out there we just have to learn to see them.

I thought I had found that perfect person a few years ago. He still fills my heart with warmth when I think about him. I was so in love , that his unusual and quirky ways did not seem to matter at all. He and I were so diffferent in so many ways and those differences made loving him a huge undertaking. He is with someone else now. I lost him to her. She is very nice person and although It broke my heart, I do wish them all the happiness in the world. If he is happy , then so am I.

I met someone who I've always thought was perfect for me (and vice-versa with her), but she lives too far away.  If only the distance weren't there, everything would be.. well... perfect!!!

well, I have not found a "perfect" lady...if she was, she probably would not but up with my s$%^($^(
BUT
I have a nice one.....nice to me.. makes me want to be nice to her...
and, if that's the "best" I can do, it is A-OK with me...........

Perfection is non existent. Now I don't mean you should compromise who you are or what you believe just to have a mate...but looking for someone who is perfect is unrealistic. Seems there are alot of people on these sites...looking for "perfect" which might explain...why they are...still looking.

I found the perfect person and lost someone I consider the "perfect peson". I will value the time I spent with her and will always remember her every chance I get and mourn the loss of this lovely lady

Ok, so I stop getting teased because of my comment on this thread, let me rephrase it.......he is perfect in his own way and perfect for me. Of course I am perfect in every way and perfect for him too....lol

I think when people say they have found the perfect person they essentially mean the person that is perfect for them. Someone that is compatible with you may be as far from perfect for someone else. I would run and hide if I ever were to meet anyone again who claims to be " perfect". I think there is not one of us alive that does not have their little idiosyncrasy's and unique charateristics that make us who we are. Perfection would be boring.

I know that perfection doesn’t exist but perfect for you does. Everyone has such sad but wonderful comments. We all have that damn almost had it story  – the only thing worse is damn cant find it stories …But its out there!
