Well I lived through my training and worked 7 straight days this week. I have to admit, it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. I guess in my mind I don't consider myself perky so I figured it wasn't going to be that much fun. Anyone that knows me, knows I am almost always smiling, so that part is easy, but overcoming my shyness is the hard part. I'm getting there, I don't have much of a choice...lol

I did learn the one thing about Disney is true...they really do expect you to have fun while you're working. They encourage you to play with the kids and the toys. Have to admit that is pretty cool. One of the big managers in my area came through the other day, I was sitting on the floor with a little girl that was maybe 5 or 6. The Stitch ride had scared her and she was in tears at first. When the manager came through her eyes were still red and puffy, but she was laughing because I had a Mickey sticker on my nose and was putting one on her forehead. A few hours later when I went to clock in from lunch, there was a message from the manager telling me how great I was doing and thanking me for making the little girl feel better. I just thought that was pretty cool seeing the company I worked for in St. Pete never told you, you did something good and you never were thanked for anything.

There are also unexpected benefits too. Sunday it was a cloudy rainy day, humid too. Needless to say I was hot and tired as it was day 6 for me, I also had about 2 hours to go before I could go home. Another little girl was looking for a pin she needed to finish her collection. For those of you who don't know about the pins, we wear a bunch of pins and trade them with the guests. A lot of times we have the harder to get pins or the ones that are numbered. At least when we first come in we do..lol Pin trading is a big deal with the guests. Anyway, she wanted this one princess pin and I happened to have it. When I showed it to her, she asked if she could trade for it, but all she had was one I already had. We are not suppose to trade for one we have already. The little girl knew this and was on the verge of tears. Me being me didn't really care about having a duplicate as I could get a different one from another cast member, so I traded it with her. She started jumping up and down, threw herself at me and gave me a huge hug and kiss on the cheek. It took all my will power not to cry (yes, I can be sappy.) She was just so sweet and just seeing how happy she was made my yucky day so much better. I kind of forgot how tied I was and was in a great mood the rest of the night.

Oh and JF, you really need to work there. I would say 80% of the guests the last few days have been as you call them limey's. Every time I chatted with one I would think of you.

For right now I'm in the Magic Kingdom working in Tomorrowland.

JF you're too funny. No clue if they are single but you would have been drooling over this one guy, granted he was with someone, but so worth looking at...lol

About 6', long dark brown hair, blue eyes, ...covered in tat's.
