Hey everyone I was just wondering something and maybe y'all can help out. I don't really get alot of messages or anything, at least not from genuine people anyway, so sometimes I get brave and write to some people, even if thier outside my designated "criteria". Last night one lady responded and she seemed a little perterbed by it.
I can understand in a way, as I was younger and all, but she ended by saying "Good luck finding friends, I love your personality!" Normally I would just brush it off as someone being rude for thinking I was rude for contacting them. But it got me thinking, could there be something to that? Do I not come across as very "personable" in my profile? I was being both sincere and tounge-in cheek with my essays, and I guess not alot of people get that. Any suggestions on how I could tweak things to hopefully increase my chances of getting ladies interested?

Alan I read your profile and I found it witty and honest and it did come off as being personable. You are up front with your disability which is cool and no one should be defined by any differences they may have anyway. We are all different. I actually prefer the word " differability" Just be true to yourself and you will do just fine.

Thanks Dove :) Yeah I use "differently-abled" alot, and when people ask how long I've been in a wheelchair I tell them "well I've been in it for a few hours now, but I've been using one since I was about 7 or so"
I see you live in O-town, I'm hoping to move there soon to continue my education at UCF, it'll be nice hanging out and relaxing at CityWalk on the weekends, but Universal will never be the same since Back to the Future closed, at least there's always Horror Nights :D

You are among many folks that miss Back to the future.. there were many fans of that ride. The Simpsons will be having their soft opening in a week or so.I finally got on Disaster which is the revamped Earthquake. I had to volunteer of course to be in the show. They made some cool changes. Universal will always rule when it comes to Halloween Horror nights. It scares the crap out of me though. I scare very easy. I live close to UCF and am a former UCF student.I have many great memories of my UCF years.

Yeah I did most of my Batcheler's online and at the regional campus, I'm really looking forward to experiencing the main campus, I took a little tour after I graduated it's a great looking campus.
Yeah I'm looking forward to seeing what they did with Earthquake, the new preshow with The Rock and Chris Walken sounds fun.
Yeah this year I got the best scares from Dead Silence and Nightmare on Elm Street, I was a little disappointed with the streets this year. I can't wait to see what's in store for HHN18, I'm eagerly awaiting June/July when the rumors start to trickle...

"Good luck finding friends, I love your personality!" that's a compliment don't forget that this is not just a dating site but also a site for making friends.

Hi Alan
I don't see anything wrong with your profile at all. You are very open about all that is going on with you. Dove and the Mod said it all, not really much I can add there.
Give it time and Miss Right will see what a gem you are. You can also post blogs or in the different forums to get yourself out there a little more. Even if the perfect for you woman didn't appear, you will get to meet a lot of people and make some new friends. I personally don't see making friends as a bad thing.
