I guess I will have to get an absentee ballot from Ohio (not looking forward to voting for anyone....but I do it to NOT let certain people win).

If you do not vote...then others will determine what rights you will not have access to.

I always vote! I also also do my research to be informed, starting on a local level.
You know it is really a part of what is called responsibility and accountability as an adult.
Oh well, if you do NOT vote, do NOT COMPLAIN.

When you choose NOT to vote you are missing out on a great national privilege and personal freedom. If voters all chose this path we could ultimately cast out the democracy that is the foundation of our country. Would you prefer a more elitist Government? Voting shows your pride in this country and our system, we are fortunate to live in a nation where we are allowed to make choices. Read up on the issues and the candidates. Watch the debates and make an educated choice. I am looking foward letting my voice be heard on election day, and will wear my "I voted" sticker with pride.

Ok, guess I was brought up old school and to this day I have to admit I still agree with it.
If you don't vote, then you have no right to whine and complain about anything the government does.
If you didn't want to take the time and research, do what you felt was right for your country, vote for someone to run the country, then why should you have a right to complain about anything?

I never vote third party. To my way of thinking that merely throws one's vote away. Even though neither candidate may share all of your views, voting is a right that most of the world longs for. I may hold my nose, but I will vote.

My sentiments exactly!
And I always make sure I go somewhere very public and crowded after to show off my 'I voted' Duval County sticker, hoping to remind folks to vote. And also to show my pride in the fact that I have the right and privilege to get to vote!
I will reiterate the "God Bless America" statement.

You do realize that it isn't the public votes that decide the next president, but the electoral college who has the final say in who achieves office? Our votes truly *don't* count.

If you think Obama is going to be it on the economy THEN VOTE FOR HIM.
Your VOTE counts, not voting negates your right to complain.
If you are undecided because both have weaknesses, well remember they are PEOPLE first, and all people have faults.
The question then becomes does any of the four key players have weaknesses or faults that YOU BELIEVE would do serious Harm to this country.
For me it became easy with that question.
Palin has potential, but is not prepared for the middle school world of politics much less the college or graduate school she would have to function in.
So VOTE
