I wondered what the "encomoy" was. Yes our economy has taken a nose dive for the worse, and we all seem to have been strongly effected by it.The program I work for has had massive budget cuts. My position was wiped out by the cuts, I have had to accept a position with hourly cuts as well as cuts in how many weeks I work a year. It is very scary not knowing how I can meet my financial obligations with far less income. My second job barely makes a difference, when you factor in the gas prices to get there. Unemployment rates are up , businesses are closing. These are bad times indeed. The economy is so global now that it will be difficult for either candidate to substantially impove the climate in the long-term. The availability of credit will largely determine the severity of the recession. When the banking sector is in trouble all people worry much more than when industry or technology is struggling. The investment banks brought it on themselves. Reading Dove's comments makes me question the wisdom of some of the tax changes enacted in Florida over the last two years. Real estate taxes were a problem but a less draconian solution should have been enacted. Now, of course, budgets will be hacked even more due to the reliance on sales tax collections. I feel some sense of guilt with so many suffering although I am by no means, an elitist..   Sep 30 @ 9:20 PM encomoy     Jyllie Posts: 3 I'm one of those poor folks who can relate to the song lyric that says, "Somebody told us Wall Street fell, but we were so poor that we couldn't tell."
