I am watching the returns as I am sure many of you are right now. I feel such a sense of patriotism and a renewed sense of hope in this country. We are at the threshold of a great moment in American History, I feel so proud to be part of it all. We have come such a long way since segregation and the civil rights movement. It is my desire that this country continue on this path that is long overdue.Although its too soon to call ,but it appears that Barach Obama will be the Next President of the United States.

My Pre-school students voted for the president today and Barach Obama won with a vote of 12-6. I marveled at how each child had made a clear decision on their candidate as they proudly marked their ballot. I think the children got it right and so far it looks like the American people got it right.

By a landside no less.. John McCain gave a gracious speech and I am waiting patiently to hear from OBama. I wish his Mother and Grandmother could have been alive to witness this Incredible moment. I am crying tears of happiness. This is so cool.

I agree Dove, McCain was very gracious. Obama gave a very good speach as well. I now have hope for this country.

This year has been so tough on all of us due to a failing economy. My hours at work have been cut from 40 to 35. I will work twelve weeks less this year. My old job was eliminated due to budget cuts it is an ongoing nightmare. Yet I am more fortunate then many who have found themselves suddenly unemployed. I feel Obama will be the light at the end of the tunnel. He is also a strong supporter of early childhood education and is a advocate to improve saleries for teachers. I am excited to see what lies ahead.
