Why do I always get Played?

Had a guy that I was interested in for so long and finally I asked for his email. He had been interested in me as well. We exchanged emails and had to emails sent then no more from him. It's been over 4 weeks now. In his emails he stated how much he can't wait to get to know me and see where it leads.
What happened?

Ooops that sounds way too snippy of me. It is not your fault. Just some folks live their lives lying not only to you and everyone else, but worst of all to themselves.
Don't feel bad, just keep on going and forget about him. Then too, something could have happened to him, but either way it is not your fault.
Try harder to meet someone that lives close to you and then there should be no waiting to meet. I am a firm believer in if you don't or can not meet within hours first typing to each other, then it just isn't meant to be. Try to keep that in mind, that you should meet right away.

Sweetname online dating unfortunately has it flaws and the odds can be stacked against you. Please take heart however that among the riff raff there are some genuine souls out there that are here for the right reasons. Someone that is true blue is going to at least try to keep the communication going. I would be leery of those that claim to be interested but never move past emails. Sometimes they get gratification by the attention they are getting from you, but really have no intention of going beyond online communication. I am sorry you were let down , but as Sheryl said you are not to blame.

Dont get urself sick about it. like they said...there r alot of phoneys out there.
I myself will give you some advice. Never send money no matter how lonely you are....NEVER SEND MONEY !!!
I had a guy trying to get home fr another country where he said he had gotten ripped off, and needed 2,450 to get back to US.
Of cause i never sent any, but had I..I would not heard from him again.

Real simple lesson.........if someone is serious they will either give you or ask for your phone number...people who play.."You've Got Mail".........are just playing..........

Maybe you should stop looking like a piano, if you don't want to get played, just kidden.!!
Seriously though, on line I would take anything anyone tells me with a grain of salt,
(and maybe some popcorn !)..And wait until you meet them.. Cause people just
lie, lie, lie..just to see if they can..!
Then again maybe there is something wrong with your email service,
I remember when all the letters I wrote my Bf got deleted automatically...
.maybe it was his mom..lol

There are also a lot of really good people on here. Maybe you all need to go to a gathering to meet some of them. Its awesome,  no pressure, just meeting friends.
We just went on the camping trip to Indiana a couple weeks ago, and GOT MARRIED there! Total MD wedding, from the minister, to the Maid of Honor, Best man, and Flower girl. All MD guests and my family.
They even threw a Redneck/Hawaiian Bridal shower for us!
